Review from Ben B.
I don't get to Willow's all that often, mostly because my trips to pet stores are only allowed when I really and truly NEED to get something (usually food) lest I end up spending my own fun-money budget just on things that my dogs will tear to pieces within fifteen minutes of getting back in the door. That said, the owner here is absolutely wonderful and cares so much about giving her customers great advice, introducing them to wonderful products, and ensuring we all take better care of our pets.
My only trouble at Willow's came down to a product that I fell in love with that eventually couldn't be brought in anymore due to changing US laws. The owner was so concerned with making sure I found something else that I was equally happy with that I was convinced she'd actually run for congress it it meant me walking away satisfied. Excellent customer service! -

Pets have it pretty good these days. It seems as though the market for fur-love is ever growing, and with the societal emphasis on healthy lifestyle, we are extending it on to include our own animal friends.
Willow's is another great store for pet owners to grab up on healthy foods, as well as shiny new toys, accessories and gear. Its all about pampering and taking the best of care of your precious pet!
Grain-free products are amongst the many specialty foods here-- and there is a wide variety to choose from. Toys and accessories are appear fresh, fun and the latest on the market.
If you like only the best for your little fur-ball, Willow's is a fine spot to visit. Friendly, knowledgeable service is at your fingertips, as well as a wide variety of spend-worthy goods! -

Last year I headed into Willow's Pet Place on a quest for some fish food. My roommate's fish, who live in our kitchen, hadn't been fed in a couple days and they were starting to stalk me whenever I passed by their tank.
The folks at Willow's don't carry fish food unfortunately but they were helpful and pointed me in the direction of a couple other places. - The grocery store for one. (Who knew?)
Willow's carries products from suppliers such as: Atlantic Healing Hemp, Ecosafe, Sojos, Organix, Old Mother Hubbard Dog Biscuits and Katie's Farm.
Congrats to Willow's for being voted 'Best Pet Shop' for the past 2 years in The Coast! -

To be honest, at first glance I couldn't tell what made Willow's any different from any other pet-store. They sold all the regular products (petfood, treats, toys, etc.) without any glitter or gold - at steeper than average prices.
But after hearing that Willow's had won the Coast's "Best Pet Supplies in Halifax" for two years in a row, I decided to do some research.
I discovered that what makes Willow's different is the quality and time that goes into it's products. Unlike grocery stores and other pet-stores where many of the treats you buy are made in China or overseas..., Willow's pet foods and treats are made in North America with a strong emphasis on health and nutrition, and do not contain the chemicals and animal byproducts found in other pet foods and treats.
One last thing worth mentioning about Willow's is their Ginormous Dog-bones. They're $15 each and are comparable to something that Dino, off of the Flinstones, would enjoy - and of course, are very nutritious.
Moral of the story... Don't judge a book by its cover. The prices may be steep, but your pet is worth it and you pay for what you get. -

I like this little pet-palace. I especially adore the patio designed for owners and their hairy friends to lounge, with dog day beds set up when the weather is right.
When a hamster magically showed up outside of my apartment building in July (this happened), I swung by Willow's and bought some great shavings that the little fur-ball just loved to nest in. I also get my Main Coon, Tobias, grub here every now and then, as there are some great alternative brands with better quality ingredients.
If you have a pup, or a kitty, or even a strange nesting animal, this is a good place to shop. It's locally owned and the workers are quite nice. Don't forget to bring your pup's sunglasses so that when you're lounging on the patio your dog is the coolest four-legged dude around. -

Did not know this place even existed let alone know it has been there for the last 5 years. Coming from a local book store we decided to pop in to see what the store was about. Small pet store designed for basic needs for your animal.
We were actually not looking for anything particular but came across a beautiful collar for Murphy and it was 50% off what deal as they are very expensive.
Great one stop for pet food and supplies for that special furry friend.
