This place is as good as it gets for a home away from home 'vacation' spa getaway. Had a wonderful all-day experience with the girls on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy.
The gym was very clean and nice with lots of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, recumbant bikes) and weight machines. There is also a separate 'movement studio' for those who want to stretch and do mat work. I was most impressed with the treadmills, as they have built-in TV's and fans attached. There is also complimentary water placed on each of the cardio machines as well as water fountain and fresh orange/cucumber water availalbe.
The spa, outdoor jacuzzi and lounge area was amazing. The only complaint I have is that there is no access to the hotel pool/cabana area on the 6th floor. There is a eucalyptus steam room, an 'experience shower' and two regular showers.
I had a deep cleansing customized facial with Fiorella and a stress relief massage with Irina. The massage pressure was perfect -- just enough for me to fall asleep. The real addiction was the deep cleansing facial. It was the best facial I've ever had. Fiorella was excellent -- it was so comfortable and relaxing that I even asleep during the extractions! No doubt I will be returning quite frequently for the facial treatments.
Make sure you tell the valet when you leave that you were at the spa - they will waive your parking fees. -

Was a pretty good experience. I went because I get massages covered by my health plan but never manage to find time for them. So I decided to go to willow stream to use up some of my coverage.
My partner and I managed to stretch out the visit to 4 hours or so so it was much longer than a regular massage place that's in and out.
The steam room was pretty good but the hot tub and sauna needed some heat. The sauna was outside and the infrared panels were a bit of a gimmick and maybe felt like 30 deg C. I didn't try the workout area but it looked pretty good from afar.
The outdoor area is a bit cramped but the two hot tubs provide enough room, even when someone is watching the local sports game on the TV. One annoying thing is that theres an exhaust vent pointing into the area so I could smell things from car exhaust to a cooking steak. The indoor lounge area is pretty small and you feel awkward when someone else is inside, I guess it's better in the summer when the outside section is open.
The staff were nice and the free lemon water, fruit and muffins was good to have. -

Now I do love to go to this spa, but I swear, a couple of the spa coordinators have a condescending tone when you're trying to make appointments with them. I always really dread having to deal with the front desk, they're definitely a sour grape in an otherwise fantastic environment. Hence, minus 1 star for them.
The services on the other hand are awesome, they use great products like B. Kamins and Kerstin Florian.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Probably the most opulent spa in Vancouver right now. Head to the 5th floor of the sexy Fairmont Pacific Rim and you'll be met by 2 really friendly hosts at Willow Stream reception.
Large men's locker room and private lounge with fresh fruit, tea, water and baked goods..be sure to head out to the deck to take in one of the hot tub spas or the infrared sauna.
I had the hot stone massage (Jay) for 60 minutes and it was intense and perfectly relaxing. I layed on a spinal bed of hot stones while he placed shakra stones on my torso before even beginning the massage...well worth every penny.
An appointment gets you FREE valet parking and you can spend the entire day here if you choose...work out, spa, massage, facial, lunch..the choice is yours. I'm a happy camper. -

This place is amazing! The service was excellent and friendly, the amenities were fabulous - must always remember to arrive at least an hour early and to bring a bathing suit as they have three out door hot tubs each sitting up to about 5 or 6 people. It is especially amazing at hight when it is snowing!
The indoor lounge is clean and comfortable for those who just want to unwind inside. They offer tea, water, coffee and various snacks while you wait for your services to begin.
Each time I go, I always go for the full body 90 min massage. My RMT, Andrea, is amazing! I didn't have to tell her, but she knew at my first visit where my weak points were. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
The hot tub, showers, and steam room are all included when you're just booking a massage!
We've had lunch there a couple times - typical hotel food - not that bad, but nothing spectacular.
All in all, this place is the place to go to. Anything from a bridal shower to a couple's get-away, it is well worth your $!! -

Finally made use of my WaySpa gift certificate at Willow Stream (thanks to my very thoughtful bf). Glad I went here with a spa buddy who I gave a WaySpa gift cert to so we could go together.
Ahhhh Body Quench hydrating wrap, you left my skin blissfully moisturized, delightfully scented, and smooth. Before going there, I thought I would get moisturizing stuff slathered on my skin and then be wrapped in warm towels or something. But no, luxury spa noob I am, this one has a fancy, heated bed covered with a duvet, towels and plastic. You lay on the plastic, get the hot (it's supposed to be warm but it was a little hot at first) moisturizing avocado oil slathered and massaged on, then get cling wrapped like a sandwich with extra insulation. Anyway, while wrapped like a cozy little sandwich, I had a nice scalp and neck massage. After 15 minutes the wrap came off, I went to the rain shower in the adjoining room for a rinse - that lotion/oil stuff is hard to completely rinse off but I tried. I felt a little silly for not knowing how to turn off the shower (there were two showers on at once and a few buttons and handles). After the shower was the back massage and an additional slathering and massaging of avocado oil and whatever other moisturizer was mentioned in the initial two-minute intro before the treatment. There was also oil in my hair which I was warned about beforehand. The treatment left me feeling so relaxed and warm - perfect for a cold, sunny day. The recommendation my spa therapist, Fiorella, gave is that it's best to remain moisturized with the oils for as long as possible and not to shower right after the treatment.
My spa buddy got the Lift & Tone facial. I think it was a 20 minute facial followed by a red light LED (this part sounded like baloney to me, c'mon a red light?) and then a microcurrent (this part sounded more like something worth trying) treatment for 40 minutes. She felt good after it and enjoyed it.
There's an infrared spa which we tried out. Really great to go in there to escape the chill of winter.
Valet parking is complimentary, as long as you get your ticket validated at the spa. The valet guy said the front desk so I took that to mean the receptionist but they told me to go back to the spa.
I'd love to return here again someday and I recommend it! -

Loved it, went for maintenance and ended up having lunch too! You cannot put cowboy boots on while your toenails are wet so why not eat.
Truly felt like I was being treated by an expert throughout the maintenance program.
Lunch was spa so I had to request additional salt and salad dressing but other than that it was great.
Can only hope the Great White Beast enjoyed her oil and filter change as much.Listed in: Body Work

I got to witness the behind the scenes building of this spa and even when it wasn't finished, I knew it would be my new go-to spa. 15,000 square feet of serene luxury, perched on the 5th floor of the beautiful new Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel. The treatments are not cheap but they are not exorbitant and I've never had better service or felt better leaving somewhere in my life. Using the spa also entitles you to using the 3000 square foot exercise room, if you feel like moving after your massage (I never do).
They also offer a charity feature where you can register your charity at the spa so whenever you or friends go, you can mention it and 10% of your treatment fees will be donated to that charity. Imagine, feeling like you're saving the world while getting a facial? That's my kind of philanthropy.Listed in: local treasures

I've been to all the larger spas in Vancouver. Hands down, the Willow Stream is the best. Very contemporary, excellent service and fantastic views from the roof deck lounge. Nothing like champagne in your robe!

The amenities are great. There are two hair stations equipped with blowdryer and straightener, two washroom stalls, two regular showers and then the experience shower (see picture). Lockers are digital for the women's side, so you can choose your own 4 digit combo. Women's only lounge has a large sofa, 4 lounge chairs and a fireplace.
The outdoor space is large. They have a lot of place to sit outside, but when Vancouver rains (which is quite often), women are stuck with the female only lounge or the common area lounge. This is really annoying when one is trying to read and other spa-goers were "blah blah-blah blah"-ing loudly nearby and the reader just wants to ... her. So, yeah, go when it's sunny or else you'll be stuck with a cockatoo right next to you. Not there fault, so no points deducted.
The treatment rooms were large, but my treatment table was making cracking noise every time the RMT applies pressure. So, it was *relax* *craaaaccck*....*relax*....*crack* We asked for 2 male RMTs, but they don't have 2 for us, so they gave us 2 female RMTs. They were ok...but the pressure is still not as firm as male RMTs. 1 point deducted for the cracking noise and no male RMTs. -

Like most people, I have stress in my life. It finally got to the point where I needed to do more than yoga and running for it, I needed a massage. But I didn't just want an RMT in a sterile room giving me this massage, I wanted the full spa/massage experience. After looking around yelp, I realized this was the spot and as usual, yelp did not lead me astray.
I called and booked my appointment and was informed that there was a complimentary valet with my service. (Sold!)
I then walked in the front doors of the spa and just felt my whole body relax, like "yes, this is the place where all the stress can go to perish." I was given a complimentary water while they gave me a tour of the spa and was asked about what size shoes I wore so that my precious toesies would even be taken care of. There was the 24-head shower...amazing! The normal rain showers -- pale in comparison to the 24-head shower but still a solid experience. The eucalyptus steam room, delicious. The waiting room which has teas/water/snacks (the oatmeal cookies were like crack--I had to keep myself from eating the whole batch).
I requested a sports massage because I wanted a fairly intense massage experience. The massage fell short of my expectations.
Not so short that I wouldn't go back, and have already booked my next appointment but short enough that I won't book another sports massage. Ladies/Gentleman, if you want to be spoiled and have the funds to make it happen, then I'd 1000% recommend that you do it here. -

Visited the spa twice now - once for a full body Swedish Massage, and the other time for a Customized Deep Cleansing Facial. Both times I've been completely blown away by the experience. If you have the budget, this is definitely THE place the visit.
Upon arrival, the front desk staff with help you get registered and then will give you a quick tour around the spa. There is a ladies area and a men's area. The spa is very luxurious and very tastefully decorated with lots of glass and pale marble. There are 2 jacuzzis and giant bowl-shaped chairs (for sprawled out lounging) in the outdoor patio. There are also 2 lounges indoors, both with a snack and drink table with fruits, muffins, cookies, citrus-infused water, tea, coffee, etc. With any spa service, you also get free valet parking and access to the fitness centre or the day. There's a eucalyptus steamroom, rainshower rooms, and an experience shower room (24 shower heads!!!!!!!!!). You're completely and utterly spoiled!!!!
The Swedish massage as a little disappointing for me because I didn't find the pressure to be hard enough, but I guess that's a matter of personal preference. There are sports massages and deep tissue massages available as well. The facial was amazing. You are tucked away in a warm, soft, cushioned massage bed in a thick duvet. Then the esthetician cleanses, massages, steams and pampers your skin. I can't even explain what happened in detail because it was so comfortable, I was asleep within minutes! Definitely an A+ facial for me.
The prices are definitely up there (facial was $129), but I think it's well worth it considering the type of service you get. To make it worthwhile though, I suggest allocating the full day at the spa so that you can get your money's worth. Just bring a good book or magazine and spend the whole day there - exercising, relaxing, spaing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! -

Lovely decor, peaceful and not cliched music, with an outdoor lounge and hot tubs for good weather days and indoor areas of luxurious relaxation, this place is worth the expense!

I had a gift certificate for a half day at the spa, it included a massage, facial, manicure & pedicure. The front desk greeted me promptly and was very pleasant. They took me on a tour of the spa facilities. Wish I didn't forget my bathing suit cause there was a great private outdoor hot tub! I didn't arrive early enough, but there's also a steam room that one can use while at the facilities. The esthetician that took care of my services was Irina. She was lovely. The massage was very nice, as was the facial. I left looking rejuvenated. Irina also took the time to explain to me my skincare needs, giving me some great tips to take home. The private women's lounge is very serene, I was served a healthy bento box lunch. I then spent the rest of the day in the nail spa getting pedicure and manicure. They use OPI polish & had a decent selection. Irina even offered me an espresso while I got my pedi, worried that I would be tired from the long day. The Willow Stream Spa is lovely. Great getaway & luxurious treat.
