Review from Linda C.
Another wonderful day at the spaAAAH yesterday!
Things i enjoyed this time???
1)The outdoor hot tub cuz it was SUCH a beautiful sunny day in Banff and just sitting outside enjoying nature from the hot tub was great!
2) The breakfast (which is served till 11:30am). My friend and I split our dishes, she ordered eggs benny plate, and I ordered the spinach potato frittata plate. Both were good! I believe the egg on the eggs benny was organic cuz the yolk was orange! Both came with roasted cherry tomatoes, one came with roasted potatoes, the other with fruit salad and toast, and my frittata plate also came with 2 chicken sausages. Both came with coffee / tea and fresh squeezed juice which was YUM!
Breakfast is $4-$5 more expensive than the lunch bento cuz the lunch bento includes tax and tip but breakfast does not fyi.
**The place does need some updating & I believe they are doing renovations starting Jan 3-14 2011!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Miss J.
Calgary, AB
Recently had a 90 minute massage here, and thought it was decent. Typical spa - robe, slippers, steam room, sauna. Nothing special about the waiting area or treatment rooms. It was nice to use the other facilities after the massage-pools and hot tub. Quite a bit overpriced ($259 for 90 minute massage compared to $190 at a high -end Calgary spa).

Review from Sherri C.
The Fairmont Banff Springs is known as the Scottish "Castle in the Rockies." While we didn't stay at the hotel, we did choose to spend a cold and rainy afternoon in the Willow Stream Spa. In addition to the standard spa facilities (Men's- / Ladies'-only locker areas, showers, lounges, whirlpools, steam rooms, and saunas), there were three indoor waterfall baths of varying water temperature plus a therapeutic mineral pool in the center. Outdoors on the spa terraces, you could sit in the jacuzzi, but not many people wanted to venture out in the cold weather. Use of the fitness center and the heated outdoor pool was also available.
Hubby had a 45-minute back-neck-and-shoulders massage, while I relaxed under an hour-long sports massage. Both of our therapists were excellent. I described some of my past and current injuries, and the therapist hit all the right spots and found other areas that were tight due to compensation for those injuries.
While the facilities were nice, I felt I was in an average to above-average location (Vegas must be spoiling me), especially for the price. I was expecting more based on the fact that this was located in the Fairmont. I have to give our therapists and the incredible views -- and being in the Canadian Rockies an extra star, though. Highly recommended as a way to unwind (or to pass some time when you have to be indoors anyway).
