Review from Laura P.
I am greeted by the sweetest little pup of life. Digger, a soft ball of fur and playful puppy of 5 months, is the owner's pet and boutique doorman. Learning the ways of retail, his cuteness is the perfect way to begin this endeavor.
What a sweet little shop. Although its been open for about ten years, I'd only recently learned of Wildflower from an acquaintance. Its confines are currently dressed in soft, breathable garments and assuring color palates. (Periwinkle, charcoal, rose pink, nude, and flecks of colour amongst it all!) Its actually a breath of fresh air, and a different variety from other independent boutiques in the area.
I was elated to discover the accumulation of Free People frocks, which is probably my favorite [semi] affordable brand of all time. The owner mentioned that they would be getting more in soon-- whoo hoo! The overall stock seems romantic, flowing, and of excellent taste. Cute tops, rich fabrics and cuts are here for the taking. I think its safe to say that Wildflower has Bohemian Romantic down.
The owner of the shop offered me genuine conversation and an easy shopping experience. I was the only patron at the time, so we chatted as I browsed. There was no pressure, no facade-- just good conversation and a shop full of wonders. After much swooning and chit-chat, I know this is a boutique I can dig.
Besides the clothes, there were also some pretty neat accessories. I'd say the owner of Wildflower has a great eye. Understated, funky, classic and bohemian looks are all fused into one cohesive collection. All you need is a paycheck. xo -

On a hot-tip from the sweet Laura P, I found myself drifting down side streets until I happened upon this bright little boutique.
The space is simple and square, with gentle aromas wafting through the air from a single candle lit on the counter. I had no idea this place existed. It's so funny that only one block off of the main strip somehow seems like a completely other realm!
In my mind's eye I remember teals and easy spring hues. The woman working was welcoming and happy, offering me assistance and giving me the space to putter about. I spotted expecting mother's wares, like special tummy-jean tuckers, exceptable pajamas for if you just happen to leave the house in them, as well as baby goods. Most notably, the PeeWee TeePee - a little cone you put over your baby boy's willy to curb the whole getting peed on thing when you're changing his diaper!
I touched the softest grayish pink scarf and looked at some lovely jewels made my Mimi & Marge. I think the collection of necklaces and earrings was the most titillating part of the shop's offerings for me.
This modest boutique is worth the the little jaunt off of Spring Garden. The clothing is inspired and luxurious, while the accessories are classic and chic. Plus, there's a cuddly little mutt there to make you swoon! -

Wildflower clothing has a pretty nice selection of trendy clothes for women. The only down side to this little boutique across from the Clyde Street NSLC is the cost!
This store is pretty tiny though and they do manage to have a reasonably sized sale section.
Very nice staff!
Check out the hand bags! Expensive but just the right size: Big enough to carry your laptop, sweater and a few grocery items without looking as though you carry your home on your back like a snail. Mainly leather too!
Really the only downside to Wildflower is the cost but check them out for their sale rack and accessories! -

Wildflower Clothing - It is amazing what you can find when you walk the streets of Halifax opposed to driving.
This shop seems to have everything going on. Chic clothing, wonderful colours and great purses. Being bit of a purse buff, I love a great purse. Summer is here, it is time for a new one.
The lady who owns this place is really nice, you will love the vibe that comes from this store. I am sure you will find something to add to your collection. The jewellery here was especially great, nice gifts. -

Visited the shop with some friends during the "Shopping Under the Stars" promotion and had one of those rare but delightfully fun shopping experiences. We browsed casually for a while, talking more and more with the saleswoman the longer we stayed. One friend picked up a slightly odd two-layered shirt and our new friend said, "I've always wanted to see that on someone." The friend I'd come with obliged and tried it on, which inspired the saleswoman to grab an absurd sequined jacket from the rack and say, "Ten points to anyone who will try this one on!" Of course I had to take her up on that offer. For ten points I just couldn't afford not to.
All in all, a nice shop that was brightened on this particular day by the saleswoman's willingness to play around. The prices are higher than I tend to pay for clothes, but that's no reason to complain. If I had $120 dollars to blow right now I might be back to take a second look at that deliciously soft sweater I found.
