Review from Aditya R.
Situated in Edmonton's north end, pretty much in a small strip mall, the Wild West Saloon is certainly supposed to transport you to the wild west. Men in hats, women wearing cowgirl boots, country music - the wild west is a weirdly unique experience.
The saloon has quite a large dancing space with a stage for live music. The time I went, there was in fact some good live music, including some ol' country favorites. I'm not a country music person, but I sure don't mind an evening of random country stuff.
Right next door is a burger joint (perhaps in partnership with the saloon) and at least on weekends, the burger place stays open till late. We left soon after we were pushed out at 2 a.m. and the burger joint was still running.
Drinks are cheap, people are unpretentious, music is country and general happiness all around. It's a good place - though wouldn't mind waiting a year before I go again!Listed in: Hidden Gems
