Soup!! may not be the first thing you think of to get at a cafe, but Wick's soups are awesome, and that's what I keep coming back for. I want to try their fancy-sounding sandwich wraps one day, but I haven't had a chance, since they always have yummy-sounding soups.
The first soup I had here was Thai(?) Curry Soup. It had a deep broth taste, and enough spice (flavour) to distinguish it as curry, but not too much that it was really spicy (hot).
I had Creamy Clam Chowder today!! With that name, I was expecting a white one, but it was a creamy tan like they used cream AND tomato. This also was full-bodied and rich tasting! I'm so glad I got the bigger size!
Wi-Fi. Tables, counter seating along window, outdoor tables.Listed in: Free Wifi in Vancouver

We have moved closer to this location and now we spend quite a bit of time here. They are always welcoming and the food and drinks are great. They now have more laptop plugs on the comfy sofa!!

My Bike Club stops here on some of our Saturday rides. We go back to this place because they appreciate our business. They don't mind that we move the chairs around so everyone can chat. The regulars seem live in the neighbourhood they are friendly towards us.Lots of Dog Owners like this place. There's enough poles to park about 10 bicycles near the entrance without blocking access to the business. The Coffee is good and baked goods are tasty. Yes they have free WiFi for customers. I used the WiFi today to check in.

I've lived in the area for more than a year and I can't believe I haven't visited Wick's sooner. It's a perfect, spacious place with great natural lighting as well as bright indoor lights. The tables are large, there is free wifi, and it's surprisingly quiet. Good variety of caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks and very tasty-looking food.

I love Wick's! Friendly service, nice atmosphere, good food, not too pricey, solid wifi. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I ever leave! :)

A London Fog on a blustery afternoon makes me smile. Especially while making great use of their ample tables, free wi-fi and spacious, brightly day lit cafe.
The weekend staff was delightful and the $6.50 avocado, red onion and brie panini was divine. No, sublime. Especially when the awesome female barista asked me if I like dill. When I said yes, she completed my sammie with a dill mayo from the fridge. It's those little added touches by a friendly staffer that make me think of Wick's again and again.
It's hidden, yes, but there's ample parking. Just make sure you save room in that outlet in the back left hand corner of the room for me :) -

My go-to coffee shop and quick lunch spot when I'm in my neighbourhood and not downtown at work. Great soups, sandwiches and baked goods. Coffee's good too and they serve Mighty Leaf Tea, one of my faves.

I'm loving this place.
My husband and I have been on vacation with my parents for a week and a half and needed some time to ourselves.
We spent a few hours at Wick's on a Tuesday morning/afternoon and enjoyed ourselves. In addition to free wi-fi, the staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic.
It's quite, and quaint and everything a local coffee shop should be. We didn't indulge in the scrumptious looking pastries in the display, but throughly enjoyed our paninis and soup.
If we're in Vancouver again, we'd certainly spend a few hours here. -

This place is a block away from my apartment so I find myself there quite regularly. For the most part the staff is friendly and the food/coffee great. If you order a panini remember to ask for a large one as their bread is not uniform in size. They also grill their paninis wrapped in some sort of paper so if you like that real toasted quality you just have to ask them to grill it normally.
One thing that irks me is sometimes they bring your food out to you and sometimes they just yell for you to come pick it up.
Nice place to sit outside with your dog and make new doggy friends! -

Wick's is a quaint little cafe in a secluded area of residential Marpole. Because it's off the beaten path, it makes for a perfect place to go to chill out and chat with a friend for a couple of hours. It's also a great place to work off your laptop with free wifi and comfortable seating.
They serve a great variety of coffees and teas, both simple and fancy types, as well as a variety of pastries. They also serve simple breakfasts and sandwiches too, so if time whizzes by and you hit meal time, you don't even have to change venues. The serving staff is friendly, easy-going and personable.
Be sure to check out Wick's if you happen to be in the area. And if you live in that particular part of Marpole, you'll probably end up making it a regular haunt. -

Amazing and quaint little cafe. Stopped in for a tea and was pleasantly surprised to find lovely fresh made food and smiley service. Bright, colorful and clean. Oh and the tea was perfect too! :)

This spacious and airy cafe stands out in its pseudo-industrial surroundings. I like to come in with an issue of Playback and kick back on a bench seat by their nice big windows. Sandwiches are tasty and freshly made albeit a little small for what you pay.

I went to Wick's Café during a wedding intermission this weekend at the Scottish Hall for a little bit of a caffeine break since both my date and I have been doing some late nights. The place was empty, however, it was relaxing. It was a good way to kill a few hours and just shoot the breeze with the lovely barista across the til whom was extremely sociable and talked tea with me. I probably talked her ear off...poor thing, however, she was awesome about it. They had a lot of novelties in both menu and in their fridge, however, had to stick to a basic chilled vanilla tea since there was a reception to follow back at the wedding. The barista was so awesome in replacing the tea that I had spilled at no cost. I tend to be clumsy and rather than rolling her eyes in annoyance and making me feel like a criminal like the snobbery that can occur at Starbucks, it was all good. The prices are very decent.
