One of the last drive inns intown,
Although I can't turn my headlights on and off for service!
And a funny thing the doors in cars are getting higher so when they put that tray across I could almost rest my chin on it :) -

This place was the WORST white Spot I have ever visited! We waited for approx 10 min to be seated even tho the place wasn't busy and when requested for coffee twice the hostess rudely replied "Wait for your server" and our server did not even offer water, coffee or take drink orders for about 20 min. and ths was when the place was empty! She kept walking by our table and taking the order of the people who she just sat at the table behind us! Was disgusted & walked out even though we were hungry! Went to the White Spot on Lonsdale where they are always friendly & helpful!

I'm probably not the best person to review this place, because it's all about the burgers, and that's something I never order at a restaurant. But there were some other salad, curry and stir fry options, so I tried the chicken curry with harvest vegetables and rice pilaf. The curry was fine; nothing spectacular but not terrible, either.
My main complaint is with the service. First, the restaurant was almost empty and yet we were ushered to a booth right by the washroom. Then the service in general was incredibly slow and our server was clearly not at all interested in actually serving us. It took forever to get anyone's attention for basic requests like water and napkins (did I mention we were shoved out of the way next to the washroom?) and she forgot to bring half of what we asked for. The food took a long time to arrive, too.
Anyway, I wasn't impressed. There are better places around. -

I was 40 before I had the best swiss mushroom burger and yam fries I've ever had. It's a huge treat and worth every calorie. Always great service, always awesome food. The bun is outstanding, the burger juicy and never dry, the stuff on top unbelievably tasty. I am not a burger lover...except this burger!

I have been to this establishment a few times (due to convenience) and the service has been very inconsistent. Some of the times it was acceptable and some of the times it was really bad. Once an employee wanted to seat us at a small dark table near the bar. We asked for a nicer table. We noticed this guy was trying to seat everyone at that little dark table and everyone asked for another seating except for this elderly couple who just sat at that small dark table. The restaurant was not busy and there were lots of tables available. That same day, during my meal, I paused to talk with the person I was dining with and the server comes from BEHIND me and picks up my plate. I was still eating. My napkin was not in the plate to indicate that I was finished. She did not even ask if I was done. She just came up from behind me so I couldn't see her and picked up my plate. I thought this was very rude.
