This place is great -- and not what I expected from the exterior! I thought the food would be "chain restaurant" quality, but I couldn't be more wrong.

While the menus are probably the same at multiple locations, the quality is excellent and there are unique takes on the "standards." I had the "mushroom benedict" special, and it was tops. There was a wide variety to choose from, including some healthy options (but when faced with eggs / mushroom benedict / bacon -- who'd do that!?) :)

It's a casual, relaxed atmosphere, and the waitresses we had were super nice (my sister even left her gloves -- they found them and kept them until we realized it later in the day and returned!).

My only wish? That they'd move out east and transform the "chain" restaurants back here! Yum!

I know it's a chain and all so I shouldn't be expecting perfection, but the french dip I ordered here was subpar. The bread was really strange and chewy and the roast beef was not bad but not good in any way. The au jus was really lacking in flavor as well. It came with a side salad which was covered with some bland dressing but at least there were cranberries to spice things up.

Our hostess was friendly and the atmosphere was fine so this is not a horrible restaurant, but I consider Red Robin to be a 3 star establishment and the french dip here was not quite up to RR quality. White Spot was a fine but unmemorable experience.

Boring, bland, and easy.  This place was a quick evening stop while traveling around.  The food was not horrible but by no means anything I would say "wow" about.  It was great because it was a thoughtless restaurant: you could wear normal clothes, the menu was not offensive, and there was options for everyone. Though, next time I would prefer something a bit better in flavor.

I love white spot!  SO MUCH - so it hurts me to give this place a low rating.  It's just everytime I go here the waitresses are so snobby.  I have allergies so I often have to modify my order.  At any other white spot they are happy to do it and don't hesitate.  But every time here they either say they will have to charge extra or try to argue with me about it.  I'm always so shocked by it because at any other whitespot they just say 'sure, no problem'.  Here I've had them give me dirty looks, be snappy, and even scold me.  We went last night after I hadn't been there for over a year - I had forgotten why I don't come here.  I guess if you don't have allergies you'd be fine but for me I'll stick to going to their other locations.  I'm not sure why the waitresses at this one are so rude.  :(  It's hard to enjoy your food when someone is mean to you beforehand.

Weird that I would be writing about White Spot, however, there is a reason that they guy that I am dating and I have come here not once, not twice, but whenever we have a craving for a good sustainable burger on price and taste. The recent closure of this location inspired me to write a review. Out of all the WS, this is my favorite 'cause of this staff. We always get our favorite waiter and they handle game/concert night rush effortlessly. I have been going to this location throughout various dietary phases and all have been polite and accommodating through my various food transitions. I am really sad that this closed and I am hoping that they will open up very soon again. Downtown needs a WS.

This White was reno'd not too long ago into a darker more sophisticated look rather then the usual more family fare look...

I went the other day with a friend for brunch....they have a great selection of the usual suspects...great scambles and omelet choices..I had a scrambles with sausage and sauteed peppers and loaded with cheese..tres yummy...and the service was great..our coffees were filled constantly!

I also like to pop in for lunch now and then for the Triple "O" burger...there is just something about their special burger sauce that is addictive...not a huge fan of the fries so I like to get a salad instead..they also make a mean milkshake!

I guess this is a Vancouver chain?  I was there for breakfast and lunch and all in all had a pretty good experience.  Breakfast was huge but not really that cheap (like 10 bucks for pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs), and our server was not really the friendliest.
Lunch was way better..they have this amazing deal which was something like 12.99 for a burger, fries, fried zucchini, and a caesar salad.  so yummy...and i was able to substitute sweet potato fries for the fries, and they were delicious..maybe the best sweet potato fries i've had in a while.  mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
One thing I was not really pleased with was the burger, which they said they had to cook well done, and implied it was some nationwide Canadian rule (which i found out is not true at all), which made the burger not very tasty.

I had an omelet... It was goooood!

nice setup! looks a bit formal but it's a diner perfect for family!

    Like a poshed up Denny's!

However... I didn't like the cold, unpersonalized waiter I had...

Ever want to eat at a place where you don't get that rushed feeling?  Where they leave you alone unless you ask for something, but when the food comes, it comes good and solid and tasty.  Your coffee is refilled but not too many times.  Just right.

Today, was kinda like that.  They didn't even come to ask if we wanted the bill.  So when we needed it, we asked for it, and it came.

In a positive way, I did enjoy this.  Why? because most places these days are trying to rush you out of there to get the rotation for a new customer.  I think we were here for a good 2.5 hours and we were able to have our meeting and discuss matters of importance....cars.(hahaha).   It was a relaxing Sunday and thus our dining experience was just that.

    Me --- Happy.

The restaurant serves solid traditional egg & meat breakfast dishes.  My breakfast today was the Nat's Favourite French Breakfast with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, hash brown and 2 pieces of French toast.  All that for just under $10!

Loves - farm fresh eggs, plump and juicy sausages, real salted butter on the French toasts, VERY FRIENDLY service.

Things could have been better - less grease on the rim of the plate (I had to use my napkins to wipe the grease off) but more grease and browning for the hash brown.

A great neighourhood restaurant for weekend breakfasts.
