I have been going to White Spot for as long as I can remember now. While this might sound like a negative review, it is more one that I miss the White Spot of old. I can remember when they started to go more up scale. While I am sure they are far more successful now, they will always just be a burger joint to me.
This is my most frequented White Spot and is well run. I tend to avoid the more noisy lounge however. -

I have my ups and downs with this particular location.
I don't go there regularly but I have been there enough to write a review now.
I find this location has good service depending on the day, sometimes is great, sometimes is just ok.
The food is ok. I used to love their mushroom bennies but I have been disappointed the last 2 times I ordered them, so when I go I just get some classics, particularly their burgers, their waffles and the fries.
My last visit I tried the blueberries waffle and it was great! Definitely fresh blueberries on that syrup and the waffle was nice and fluffy.
I give them 3 stars for inconsistency with food and service...but you know well that I'll keep trying! -

A sure bet for moderate priced wholesome comfort food. Nothing Fancy and nothing pricey

Good old White Spot. They've tried hard to tart themselves up in the past few years with their cocktail lists (mmm, Spotini) and that ad campaign with famous local chefs, but at least they've shown some sense by retaining the old favourites. Legendary Platters. Beef Vegetable soup. That thing with the broccoli and chicken in a cheese sauce. And fries! I love White Spot fries above any other fries.
This particular White Spot deserves some mention, because usually I go with my family, which includes two pretty well-behaved but loud and playful little girls. This White Spot has a private little nook with a big booth-style table where we can sit with the kids and not worry that they're bothering anyone else. They can climb around and colour and eat their Pirate Paks, which still come in the cardboard ship.
Now a word about the special menus: why do chefs of renown, such as John Bishop, allow their names to be put on such bland reproductions of their cuisine? The special menus seem to be hit and miss, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. When at White Spot, stick to the classics.Listed in: Diners
