What is going on with the menu?
White Spot used to be a family tradition, much like Wally's. My parents and I used to come here for a Legendary burger platter. My dad even came here as a child to have Chicken Picken. Now, the menu is riddled with strange fusion items and confused ethic dishes. WTF?!
This particular white spot location is the closest to my house. I enjoy the brunch, but when it comes to lunch and dinner, I'm not sure what to order anymore. I can have a burger, but it's just not quite the same. White Spot needs to redefine, or at least FIND, their niche.Listed in: True Comfort

I have been going to white spot for over fifty years and I am still going but definitely missing "WHITE SPOT" It was known for the signature chicken pickn's and chicken in straw, The fish and chips with the old batter was the best. Now the fish and chips with the so to speak light tempura batter is no comparison. Is White Spot trying to keep up with Cactus club and milestones. Have the new style dishes but for sure keep what made White Spot what it was "famous" for. I would like the fried chicken back with the original batter!!!!!!! I hope I will be going to the White Spot for a long time yet. Can you believe the "chicken picken's" were fifty cents (2 pcs. plus fries), chicken in straw were seventy five cents (4pcs. plus fries) and the fish and chips with the great batter (2 pcs.) plus fries for fifty cents. A legendary burger was fifty cents. Boy, those were the ultimately best days when I was a kid.

Yes,
I pulled a large black hair out of my mouth while eating a side salad at this establishment... It was a horrifying, grotesque incident... I understand these things happen, so I downed a glass of water and told my server about the incident, even pointing to the curled up piece on the table..
She reacted with a oh-well type attitude. As compensation for this traumatic event... she took the side salad off my bill which saved me exactly $1... Hair in food happens, i get that... but the way in which it was dealt with was deplorable.. I will never set foot in a White Spot again... -

I"m visiting friends in Burnabby and we went to the White Spot for supper last night.
I had the Legendary Buger (traditional 6 ounce beef burger with their signature Triple "O" sauce and tomato) and fries ... the burger was delicious! Though fries are unlimited, I just had one serviing (they were okay, not great).
I had the Hot Fudge Brownie (chocolate fudge brownie topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and triple thick hot fudge sauce) for dessert. It was okay, not great.
Our server was okay. One friend asked for sugar for his coffee and waited and waited and waited. He finally got up and got some himself. About ten minutes later she came with sugar.
