Whistler is by far one of the best places to visit for mountain biking. Unfortunately it's difficult to find hotels in Whistler who will allow you to bring your bikes in to the room with you. At $5000+ a bike, I'm not about to lock them up in a locker somewhere else in the hotel. Whistler has a bad track record for bike theft in the summer, most of which occur within the hotels themselves.

Whistler Village Inn & Suites allows us to bring our bikes in to our room...which is wonderful! We are always careful to wash them and put some of our own old towels down to protect the floor and walls when we store them. The rooms are a decent size. We always book the Queen Loft. The kitchen allows us to cook a few meals and keep a reasonable amount of food in the full sized fridge.

The staff have been very accommodating to my husband and I on several occasions. A few years ago we had booked a room several weeks in advance to spend 4 days mountain biking in the park. Unfortunately on our second day there, it was clear that it was going to pour rain for the entire duration of our trip. The staff bent the rules and allowed us to check out 2 days early and kind enough to give us a refund for those last 2 days. We visit Whistler a couple times a year and are happy to stay at Whistler Village Inn & Suites. This isn't a 5 start hotel, which is fine with us. The rates are good, rooms are clean and the location couldn't be better.

    Pros:
    Great location
    Lovely complimentary shower items

    Cons:
the elevator (or smelevator as it was aptly renamed) smelled like wet dog, mold, and a little bit of body oder thrown in
    uncomfortable murphy bed
    all around shabby appearance

I did like how close we were to the village stroll, but i am so glad i bought this on living social and did NOT pay full price.  It was just... eh.  The smell in the elevator was seriously ripe, so much so that my husband (who had recent knee surgery) and I refused to take it at all.  The place was a bit run-down over all, needs a facelift.

To sum it up: "good enough"

My buddy and I stayed here a night during our whistler trip. Staff is great, super sweet and helpful, location is also great, all the hotels in whistler village are literally nxt to each other so any of them will be fine location-wise. Finally, the room. It had a funny smell to it, kinda like pee, when we walked in, it was clean looking overall, but that stench...I called the desk  and they said someone would come up to air-freshen which they mightve done while we were out but it still had that faint smell...iono...shrug...it wasnt unbearable for 2 guys who only used to room to store stuff while we were adventuring but i could see it being a problem if we'd actually needed to use the room to hang out.

Anyway, it was SUPER cheap, so I'd say unless u find a better deal in the village, this place is A-OK

For the price we paid, and seeing other big chains on line, I was a bit skeptical of this place. But, don't let that stop you from booking here. The rooms are clean, although a bit odd (i'll explain in a minute). Parking is definitely not what I'm used to, but very secure. Actually the whole place is pretty secure. Plus, the location is central to everything! That is probably the best part of it all. We booked 3 regular rooms/non suite. the weird thing is... two rooms share an entry way. then after going through the first door, it splits into two rooms. both rooms need card keys to enter. so it's like a shared apartment? Not sure how else to explain it.  Overall, since we were only in our rooms to sleep, everything was fine. Gotta love how close to everything you really are.

Spent one night at Whistler Village Inn & Suites and was very happy. Due to a mixup on my part, I thought I had booked a one bedroom suite but had only booked two queens for two couples. Chris at the front desk switched us to a suite with no extra cost even though it was my fault. Really nice room with comfortable beds and a kitchen.

Couple of cautions - Check in time is 4pm which caused us a bit of trouble as we were there at 1pm and had come straight from camping. They let us shower in the pool area which was ok.

Their website implies that every room has a washer and dryer when in fact there is one washer and one dryer in the entire place.

None of this ruined our stay of course.
