January 2012 I was here. Two years late from the 2010 Winter Games. Beautiful place, one of the best spot on Village North. Plenty of parking. Just less than two hours of driving from downtown Vancouver. One good thing here they have a Starbucks near Market Square and two others around the Village. Information booth is nearby with a good attendant willing to help. Directions and posted signs are easy to follow. Plaza has good sound system and great lights with a disco mirror ball up on the stage. Accessible by walking on the Village Stroll. They also an outdoor heater nearby. Free skating daily from 11am to 9pm. Skate rental around $5.

The address is their mailing address. The actual centre is at 5 Callaghan Valley Road

We went cross-country skiing yesterday up in Whistler and this is a sweet little operation they've got set up.
Two of us were able to rent skis and get our passes for under $100. The rental equipment was really nice - wow gear's changed a lot since I moved away from Ottawa! My cute, cozy, fuzzy boots were adorable and the skis and poles are so lightweight! You can do classic (no wax) or skate-ski. You can also rent snowshoes, sleds, toboggans and chariot child carriers.
They offer lessons and of course if you have your own equipment you only need the passes. There are pet-friendly trails, so next time I'm bringing the cat 'cause lord knows she'd look funny in a snowsuit!
Some of the trails had fairly steep slopes and the conditions were quite packed and slippery so watching the two of us was likely highly entertaining for all the experienced skiers. I managed a lovely wipe-out while standing completely still. Well still until I crashed on my arse that is. Yep that's going to make for a mighty fine bruise.
There's plenty of parking, the surrounding scenery is stunning, the staff were REALLY nice and helpful. The 'restaurant' doesn't serve beer which was a disappointment as I'd convinced my husband that going an extra lap would make that beer taste even better at the end. I placated him with a hot chocolate and a cinnabomb. Apparently the pricey menu is provided by the Bearfoot Bistro. A friend who ate there once said it wasn't great for the prices but the hot chocolate was all we really needed. They're working on getting a liquor license but the government's pushing back so if you want a nip of something to warm you at the end of your activities then bring a flask.
Once my muscles have stopped aching I want to go back!
