I'm not one with a sweet tooth but I have to say that some of the best baked goods I've had in a long time come from this special little place. The muffins make you feel healthy yet taste so yummy. Always moist yet deliciously complimented baked goods. Do try the pies as well - delish! A great gift to bring over for the host of a dinner party or a treat for that special someone at the end of a hard day.
A definite must visit when in the Sunshine Coast. You can also taste a small sampling in the ferry terminal as you wait or Gibsons also has a Wheatberries Bakery. -

I wish I could offer a five-star review for Wheatberries. They have excellent coffee, the baked goods are wonderful, and I really love their grilled ham and havarti pannini.
The service, however, leaves much to be desired.
There is one staffer in particular that makes me cringe and sometimes even avoid the place altogether. I don't know her name, but she never smiles, never greets me when I enter the place, and generally creates an atmosphere of darkness. I've been told that the girls working at Wheatberries are paid quite well for pouring coffee and ladeling soup. You would think a good wage might encourage more smiles.
An update: the person who used to work at Wheatberries that was less than pleasant has not been seen in quite a while. Every time I go in there lately, everyone is happy and smiling and seems to be pleased to help me.
I am ready to change my rating to 5 stars. With pleasure!! -

When it comes to coffee I'm no connoisseur and i generally stay away from specialty drinks at coffee shops. However i do know if you want to experience some of the best baking the coast has to offer, you will most definitely stop by for a cookie or an entire pie.

A great place to stop for cookies, muffins or bread if you're on the Sunshine Coast. On our last trip we splashed out on a Chocolate Ganache cake for a birthday treat. It was fantastic! Their 'Georgina' multigrain bread is also fantastic.

A must stop for those traveling on the sunshine coast. You gotta try their selection of scones, they are amazing! They have also have 3 locations in Gibsons including one kiosk at Langdale ferry terminal. Forget Starbucks, try Wheatberries!
