Review from Crystal H.
Vancouver, BC
Almost right off the ferry, this Wheatberries is like a beacon for the driver who didn't get their early morning carb fix on the Vancouver-to-Gibsons ferry. If you're still on Vancouver time, you might be tempted to compare Wheatberries to something in Van, but that's unfair. Compared to most things on the Sunshine Coast, Wheatberries has what it takes.
They bake their own pastries (go with the oatmeal raspberry muffin or the white chocolate and raspberry scone). There's lots of coffees to choose from and while some of the clear plastic containers look a little too glassy looking (read: could be rancid, the americano turned out to be pretty decent! Not amazing, but in general, a good pull.
For the size of this location (the parking lot is large, the display cases have homemade muffins and scones, and there's plenty of seating), there's not a whole lotta selection... it's pastries and coffees, and that's really it. If you want to fill up on a big ol breakfast, you won't find it here. I'd suggest traveling down the highway another 10 minutes... The Gumboot in Robert's Creek is where it's at! http://www.yelp.ca/biz...Listed in: Weekend Getaways
