I love you, Westjet. You have the hottest pilots AND the nicest flight attendants (male & female, of course!)
I really don't have any bad words for you, at all. You make the 1 hour something flight over to Calgary the quickest one ever.
Sometimes if I'm close enough to the front or the back, I like to listen to the flight attendant conversations. They make me laugh. Because sometimes they make fun of people on the flight, and I can only hope it's not me.
Keep on smiling. Oh, and flying, that'd be good too. -

I loved my first Westjet experience! The flight attendants are a lot like those on Southwest... lively, funny and super accommodating. Unlike some of the big boy airlines, you can tell that these people like their jobs.
I was weirded out that you have to pay extra for a seat assignment. I opted NOT to do this and we still ended up with an empty seat between us on both legs of the journey. The fact that your first bag flies free is an added bonus. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say I'm sick of being nickel and dimed on everything airline related recently.
For the OC to Vancouver route, Westjet isn't badly priced and the great thing about it... no layover! And since the price is right, I hopefully won't have to make that trek out to LAX for a flight to Vancouver in the future.
I was a little worried that the plane to and from wasn't full. Not even close. I'd hate for them to stop this route because it doesn't make financial sense for the company.
I will definitely fly Westjet in the future. Great service!Listed in: Oh Canada!

Dear WestJet,
I have a confession. I've grown quite fond of you. If I have to fly anywhere, I usually try to travel with you. Your customer service is top notch. You're helpful, friendly, and even have a joke or 2 for me when I'm sitting in my seat on the airplane. You always let me check in my first bag for FREE and my small dog is allowed to join me on the plane (in a pet carrying case).
You're always thinking of me and my needs, PLUS, you're always trying to save me some money.
Oh WestJet. Please don't ever change.

I can't believe no one has reviewed WestJet-Richmond, BC (YVR) yet!
I love, LOVE Westjet. What do I love about WestJet?
1) First checked bag FREE!
2) Awesome customer service
3) Friendly flight attendants
4) Good Prices
Two stories of exceptional service:
#1: We were flying from YVR to Calgary and our plane got delayed 3-4 hours while we were in the airport. They told us that they couldn't get anyone on an earlier flight and we'd have to wait the 3-4 hours for the next plane to arrive. I was 22 weeks pregnant and so my husband went and talked to customer service about how it was hard on my back to sit for that long, the lady said to give her a few minutes to see what she could do and within 20 minutes we were on an earlier flight at no extra cost. Also, a few weeks later we received an e-mail apologizing for the delay, and attached were 2 one hundred dollar WestJet credits! Completely out of the blue! We happily used the $200 towards our next flights!
#2 My husband was flying back from San Diego to YVR when the plane got re-routed to Victoria due to weather conditions at YVR making it unsafe to land (too foggy, etc). Apparently another planes of theirs got grounded in Victoria, so there were about 500 people waiting to get back to YVR. As Westjet worked on the problem, they had pizza and pop delivered for everyone waiting in the airport. They couldn't get planes to fly everyone back to YVR, so they paid for EVERYONE to stay overnight in a nice 4-star hotel, meals, ferry transportation from Victoria to Vancouver the next morning and covered all travel/cab fares that would be required as a result of this. Apparently Westjet paid $250K for all this, for delays due to something out of their control (weather). I was absolutely blown away that a airline would go through such hassel to keep their customers satisfied.
All I have to say is, you rock Westjet! Thanks!
