Westcoast Plastic Recycling currently operates a FREE plastic recycling and pick-up service. This service is geared toward keeping plastic out of our dumpsters and local landfills. Plastic, which generally takes one thousand or more years to decompose, is one of the largest forms of pollution currently going into landfills because of the length of time is takes to break down. Westcoast is committed to its program in saving as much plastic as possible from going to the landfill and utilizing it for remanufacturing.
History
Established in 2007
Westcoast was established just as the market crashed. Through perseverance and pure determination we have built this company into the Market leaders that we are. In 2011 Westcoast won the consumers choice award for recycling centers and Services in the city of Vancouver.
Meet the Business Owner: Jason K.
Jason Kemp has been working in the recycling industry for over 14 years and is President of Westcoast Plastic Recycling Inc., which provides a free collection and recycling service for film and rigid plastics. His past experience in recycling includes working with the deposit/refund system for empties, scrap batteries, cardboard, paper, scrap metal and of course scrap plastic. Westcoast Plastic Recycling recently began working with the nursery/garden industry (BCLNA) to develop a plan to recycle their spent plastic pots and trays as well as greenhouse poly.
