Quite possibly the cutest neighbourhood coffee shop ever. It's tiny - just a sliver of a space next door to a bike store, but they have the high ceilings and use those walls to maximum advantage to show paintings and drawings by local artists. There are a a few counter seats inside, plus a couple tables outside. In the summer, people with cute dogs and well-ridden bikes simply flock here, because it's been in Lower Lonsdale forever, and they're known for great coffee.
Anyway, I had the chance to stop in again the other day ... and the server was really friendly, plus she was nice enough to let me borrow an outlet to charge my dead cell phone. (They also have free Wi-fi.) I also liked that in addition to a nice selection of newspapers, they also have current copies of gossip mags to peruse. (It's okay to read them if you don't actually buy them, says I.) I was very behind in my Jennifer Aniston-related news, you see.
They don't have much in the way of food, unfortunately, but what they do have is nice and fresh.Listed in: North Shore Eats, Lower Lonsdale, Bicycle!
