West Coast Air (and several other float-plane/airlines) offer various flight-seeing opportunities and commuter service in/out of Victoria's Inner Harbor.
We hoped for as-complete a visitor's experience in Victoria this last week. We knew of the flight-seeing opportunity in advance of our arrival and contacted the various air-tour companies and selected West Coast Air........and delighted that we did! Thus, not only did we get to see Victoria (and environs) from the ground....but also on the water and from above.
West Coast Air (and likely their competitors) offer scenic tour options (length of time and prices). We opted for a thirty-minute flight that included vistas of the San Juan islands, the Straights, overhead-Victoria and Butchart Gardens. From the moment we arrived at their terminal building @ Inner Harbor, to the moment we stepped off the Otter aircraft, we were most impressed: counter staff, pilots, aircraft cleanliness.....and the route(s) chosen to give us eyes-wide-open viewing and photo opps.....FANTASTIC.
Not inexpensve, for those faint of heart: Each of us paid about 100 USD for the never-to-be-forgotten experience. Hat's off to West Coast Air!
