Best service ever.  I usually dislike overly zealous sales staff, this was significantly different. No one bothered me until I had made a couple of choices, and while I tried those, new appropriately styled options were ready to try in my size.  The woman helping me listened to my preferences, brought many many many options, including a local designer (love local!!), and didn't rush me to make a purchase.  She was attentive, but not cloying as she left me to try on each selection while she helped other customers, yet I never had to wait for more choices.

It was busy in the store, with a sense of community.  Customers were admiring each others' choices to try as well as a few shoes that came in on their feet.  The selection was lovely, at a higher, but not outrageously so, price-mark.  The shoes were very well-made, I'll report how well the sandals I left with wear this summer.

I swear, my feet grew when I was pregnant.  Suddenly, none of my shoes fit, and I find myself needing an entirely new foot wardrobe.  Wener Shoes to the rescue!

Wener Shoes is a place where I am able to get both comfort and style.  The staff was very helpful, giving me lots of attention.  Maybe they all wanted to help me in order to flirt with the cute baby, but I appreciated the excellent service I received nonetheless.

The shoes are not cheap, but we're talking good quality here.  Weners Shoes is certainly worth checking out.

Wow. Wener Shoes is not at all what I thought it was. This place sells some very good quality, comfortable shoes that do not compromise fashion whatsoever.

I was surprised by how fashionable everything was, and the variety of women's shoes and boots really impressed me. The styles varied from funky to classy--some of my favourites were very boho. There were brands like El Naturalista, Josef Seibel, and Hispanita. I was captivated by a $200 pair of heels that were awesome, but I guess you gotta shell out the cash, if you want something really unique.

I actually did think the prices were really reasonable. I saw a pair of men's Exco shoes that I saw at the Bay for $130, but Wener's was selling them for only $78!

Other than the shoes, I also fell in love with the two dogs that hang out here. When I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest dog ever (a chocolate labrador retriever, I believe), and there was another cute little dog sitting on a pillow... aww.

I will definitely be going back to say hi to those sweet dogs--oh, and to try on lots of shoes too!

For me, Wener Shoes is a smaller version of Gravity Pope. This store sells similar type of footwear - unique and funky. Some of the brands represented are Pikolinos, Marc, Miz Mooz and Hispanitas. I gravitate towards classic type of shoes, so I am not really able to appreciate the selection at Wener. Most of the shoes are made in Europe and are reasonably priced, and still there is no real chemistry between the shoes sold here and myself.
The selection of men's footwear is better. Maybe it is because the shoes are by ECCO and Stacy Adams who create more conventonal, classic designs. I brought my husband to Wener Shoes and he did like one pair which we would have bought if it was on sale.
As Jeanette mentioned in her review, the two dogs that roam around the store are precious. These adorable critters give Wener Shoes real character!
Overall, not a bad store...the shoes aren't really my taste. I'll revisit to shop for my husband here, though.
