We stayed for two nights at the Wedgewood and found it delightful. Our room, 8th floor, was large and handsomely furnished and equipped. The staff was friendly and efficient. A fine continental breakfast was provided each morning. Our meals at the in-house lounge/restaurant - the Bacchus-- - were excellent.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver and looking for a special place to spend some quality time.

I attended a Ryerson Alumni event here a few nights back, and was quite pleased at the hospitality we received.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The event space provided was perfect for the number of people we expected. It's a nice room at the back of the lobby that's great for accommodating 50-100 people.
The wine, finger foods and snacks that were provided all tasted freshly made, looked great and were constantly replenished.
I would seriously consider holding another even here.

The location of the hotel is very convenient to see the city.  While the staff was generally pleasant, the doorman never once greeted us. Listed in Relais and Chateau, we arrived with certain assumptions such as a concierge or front desk staff that could provide insights for a good and complete experience.  Unfortunately, the staff generally had neither opinions, nor knowledge to facilitate a deeper experience of Vancouver.

Whie the guides listed twice daily maid service, we only recieved it once and were only given one towel per person. Additionally, for a hotel that is so well regauarded, the quality of the furniture, textiles and finishes is severely lacking.

On the upside, the bedding was top-notch and super comfortable. Additionally, the wait staff in the restaurant/bar was very conscientous.

With other well regarded hotels in the area, we would not stay here again unless it was able to live up to its expectations.

Their restaurant, Bacchus, is beautiful and the food is delicious! I haven't stayed in the hotel yet, but I heard that Christmas is the best time as the rates are low and the festive holiday atmosphere is unlike anything in the city. Also, my friend says everyone who stays during Christmas Eve, Christmas, or Boxing Day get "Christmas Plates" filled with cheeses, crackers, nuts, cookies and other treats! Definitely staying here for a weekend of holiday shopping in December!!

The spa, although small, is very cute. I got the best facial treatment of my life - the Micro-Dermabrasion. Weekdays are the best since it's quieter and you'll feel like the Spa is all yours!!

If you're staying here, and you want it to be special, for a special someone I recommended, you get the room with the tub.  Great set up, and in, one could argue the best spot in Vancouver, only a few blocks from the entertainment district, and right next to the beautiful art gallery and shopping district.  And the Dining, is very very fine.

Great place, keep it up Wedgewood!

By the way, it smells SOO good in the lobby, they should work on extending that aroma through out the hotel

Tucked a half block off the soul of the city, Robson Street, this stately European traditional boutique hotel "Wows" on many levels, most notably the bar/lounge, elegant and inviting with big couches and thickly stuffed upholstered chairs, a fireplace and live piano.

The rooms are large and comfortable and despite the traditional Queen Anne style furniture, it is looking a bit dated. The Spa is small as are the common areas, limitations of the tight architecture.

I had a suite with a nice large patio and view. The service is also outstanding. If you enjoy a traditional experience , you'll love this hotel. If you to tend to enjoy trendy posh, you're in for a let down.

For what its worth, this is my favourite hotel in the city.

I was thrilled upon entering the gorgeous Wedgewood Hotel and Spa. I trust the Relais & Chateux brand, and it lived up to its luxurious standard. The room was large and included a terrace the length of the apartment-like suite. Comfortable amenities abounded, including full living room furniture, DVD players for the flat-screen televisions, large marble bathrooms, and delightful turndown service complete with cookies and spring water.

Bacchus lounge and restaurant in the hotel's lobby was a fabulous place to enjoy a martini next to a roaring fire. Service was impeccable, and the location ideal. I'd absolutely go back to the Wedgewood.

I have stayed at the Wedgewood many times.  The junior suite is my favorite room for the price anywhere.  The staff is always quite helpful although I miss the traditional feel of years past (i.e. The old fashioned room key that you left at the front desk and the fresh cut flowers in the room).  The lounge is a great place for before dinner cocktails on a summer night.

i almost walked right by this place!! it isn't one of those flashy looking big upscale hotels..although, it is definitely very swanky once you are inside.  i wasn't staying here myself, but a friend visiting was.
we met up for a chat and a sip in the lounge....absolutely beautiful inside.  the service is spectacular, very mindful and pleasant.
they have a grand piano tucked away to the side and every so often, the pianist would appear and play a few tunes.  fantastic touch to the already great ambiance.

we only had drinks..but automatically they served two glasses full of salted peanuts and roasted almonds....yum.
a little bit into the evening, a few servers came around with a tier of samplers and offered those to the tables.  i took a nibble on their crab cake...mmmmm.....so yummy.

loved the intimacy of the lounge...the big comfy chairs!! and it was extremely busy...we were there late afternoon to early evening and it was busy pretty much the entire time.
i got to see his room...he was staying in one of the penthouse suites... very spacious and comfy.  it came with 2 big flatscreen tv's... plush couch and very big bed with too many pillows.  nice big balcony and pleasant view as well.

I haven't stayed here, but their lounge ... wow!  Lovely.  If you want a traditional clubby type atmosphere, this is your place.  Attentive service, tasty, tasty, tasty drinks, and really delightful rich snacks in front of a roaring fire.  Lovely old dark wood richly upholstered poshness.  When you're in the mood for that sort of thing, this is your place.  I particularly recommend the pizza, it's got a perfect super-crisp thin crust.

Beautiful spot, a nice change from a larger lobbied, bustling hotel. Intimate and quiet best describes this gem. Typically stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront; this trip booked the Four Seasons, but decided last minute for a smaller boutique property with an onsite spa. Was there for an anniversary. The room was a nice size with in-room soaker tub. There was even a small balcony overlooking Robson Square. Service was excellent, free wireless a nice touch and the location, perfect; all within easy walking to Granville Island, Yaletown, Robson and English Bay. Did not eat there, but the lounge was alwasys busy and looked cozy and inviting. No question... We will return!
