This place is great!
2 stars for efficiency. I was able to make my appointment online. I immediately received a confirmation email and simple instructions to find the spa. I walked in and Ileah was right there waiting for me and escorted me to the service room
1 more star for cleanliness and ambiance. The room was nicely lit and clean.
Another star for being fast and personable! I love how fast Ileah was while making you feel comfortable at the same time. We chatted about different shows on TV and a bunch of other things to take your mind of the waxing(which was not painful).
I give it 1 more star for the price--the prices by far are the best deal around and worth every penny! -

This really IS as good as it gets as far as a waxing experience goes! Rebekka is incredibly quick and doesn't miss a thing! She's friendly, no nonsense - and by that I mean she doesn't bother with the spa frill that adds nothing to the experience except for time. Aromatherapy may relax me for a minute but then reality sets in. I will say this- I don't know why but this was the LEAST painful experience I've ever had. When I she was finished I didn't believe her-
Don't go here for an Aveda experience. Go here because she's fast and great at what she does. Don't go looking for a spa(aaahhh) experience. Go here because you want to get in and out and not pay an arm and a leg for excellence!
I will totally go back and have already sent all of my friends to her!

Read the directions carefully. It can be tricky to find if you're not prepared.
Parking can be a struggle- give yourself plenty of time

Oh. My. God. Rebekkah is a GENIUS and a GODSEND. I was really nervous about my appointment as it was my first time getting waxed, and because well, the thought of hot wax and ripping hair from my girly parts... *shudder*.
Her prices are what you'd expect for a bikini wax in the city, which is about $30. The extended bikini wax is $40, and a Brazilian is $50. She's chatty, very friendly, and quick and efficient (which you definitely want in your bikini waxer). Most importantly, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING.
A word of caution however. Like most other reviewers have mentioned, she is a one woman show. Which means there probably won't be anyone at the receptionist desk to greet you when you get there-- grab a magazine, and catch up on Hollywood gossip. This also means that more than likely, she'll be running a little behind. Just be patient. Trust me, the results are worth it -

I am so glad this place exists! First of all, prices are reasonable, secondly booking online is easy, thirdly emailed information is thorough, fourthly service is so professional and painless (well for the most part :), and fifth ease of location is great! The few times that I came here, I left very happy with the results. Rebekah is quick and makes the entire experience stress free.

I love this place! She's one of the not-so-many places I know that will do a front-center-back Brazilian for the amount she charges and trust me- I've done my research. Who wants to pay $50-60something dollars plus another $20-30 for getting your buttocks waxed? There's still a recession, save your money and get your Brazilian done in this spot. Rebekka is The Best!

My time spent with Rebekka was good. This was my first bikini wax and she was very friendly, chatty, and down-to-earth. She made it a comfortable and fun experience, which is good since there are a lot of ways to make this kind of appointment uncomfortable.
That said, I was not very happy with the results. I could not tell in the lighting in the waxing room, but once I got home I could see that she missed a lot of hair in some places, and took off way too much in another which resulted in an uneven bikini line. Maybe it was just an off day for her, but since waxes aren't cheap, the results were a little disappointing.
Also, I called a twice (with about an hour between calls) prior to my appointment to ask a scheduling question, and she did not answer the phone. I figured she was probably with a client and would call back, but no such luck. Points off for that.
She also charges 1.4% if you use a credit card. I was not notified of this policy when I paid, even after asking if she accepts credit cards (most places tell you if they add a charge). She does outline this policy in the schedule confirmation email, but since I had told her I hadn't received that email at the time of the appointment I would have appreciated her telling me about that before I paid.
Overall, I would recommend Waxing Moon Spa for a first-timer because Rebekkah is not scary or impersonal. However, I'm not entirely sure I'll be back. Awesome local girl from Hilo with her bangin attitude, quick hands, and cheap prices! She's always so damn busy, which explains a new employee added to the Waxing Moon Family. Hope the newbie can live up to Rebekkah's talent!
A few times, I've gone where Rebekkah's appointments were a little behind, and she didn't get down to business on me until 10 minutes later. If you're honestly planning your day minute by minute, I think we have a bigger problem. The best part of it all, was that she satisfied everyone in her waiting room. Just a little delayed...probably an off day.
Her studio is situated within walking distance of where I reside (Hello, Cap Hill Residents!). Parking can be difficult, and this isn't a problem if your a cap hiller. I recommend that you book in advance advance, this girl is super good, so that means... she's gonna be super busy! She also has these pre pay plans that save a considerable amount of money. You just have to pay for the sessions at once to save.
Oh, as of recently, I believe there is a surcharge to using credit/debit cards. Cash is your best bet. -

I came here for my first Brazilian wax and to my surprise it was waaaaaay less of an uncomfortable experience than I anticipated. Rebekah was so nice and friendly and made me feel so comfortable. She did a great job quick and the price is great. I will definitely be coming back here for all my waxing needs.

Rebekah has it all folks. I'm not adding to anything that people haven't already said, but when you find someone this good its hard not to share your experience.
First off, the price. This is an excellent value. If you are like me, and have had to take a hiatus from keeping your lady bits properly groomed due to finances, the Brazilian package is where to start. The regular visits certainly help with the pain. And then you're like, "Thank God I'm getting waxed tomorrow! It's a jungle down there..."
Second, Rebekah is passionate about her business and providing everyone with a great experience. She's a one woman show, which sometimes calls for scheduling flexibility, but you are building a relationship with her. She takes care of you. Whatever day I'm having, I always leave feeling better than when I walked in.
And finally, She is a perfectionist with her work. She wants that landing strip to look as good as you do!

Rebekah is awesome.
I like the new place a lot! who needs a receptionist when you can do everything yourself and lets face it, its better that way, you get super excellent service from this lady who does everything by herself! :)
I dont go anywhere for my b-wax other than here for the last 3yrs. Rebekah is QUICK, can't beat the price, and most of all, she is super friendly/funny -you feel very comfortable, no time to even think about the pain while you are chatting with her :) -

I'm adding my 5 stars to the pile, and have nothing original to add. Rebekah is quick, professional, and thorough - 3 VERY appreciated traits in this situation! And as others have mentioned, her office is very clean.
This was my first waxing and I was terrified of both the pain and mortification I was signing myself up for. But Rebekah took the time to make me feel at ease and reassure me at each step (even emailed me to answer questions beforehand!) - and somehow got me out in no time.

Over the past few years I have gone to Waxing Moon Spa for waxing. Rebekah is a talented woman. She can wax my eyebrows like no one else, and she makes getting a brazilian or bikini wax a pleasant experience. She is thorough and takes pride in her work. She also is friendly and fun to talk to and will give you skin care advice! She also offers a great package deal for maintenance waxes.

She was actually eating a burrito when I got there. Haha, that definitely broke the ice.
Rebekah was just as casual, but professional as any I've seen. I'd never had one before, but it took very little time, wasn't hardly painful, and I was laughing at numerous points. I actually ended up getting the Sweetheart and she loved it as much as I did. We traded stories, relationship statuses, and even made fun of Jersey Shore together. It was like we were old friends, just hanging out and having a good time. She even complimented me on my underwear.
I will definitely be recommending this business to my friends and would love to be a regular client of hers! -

Okay, so clearly I don't go flashing my hoo haa off to just anyone. I wear shonies and am completely able to disembark from a boat or get out of an SUV without flashing my noni. Which, in part, is why I have followed Rebekah from not one but TWO different establishments to this - the third. I am so excited that she has her own fantastic joint now.
It is super clean and calming and I absolutely love her new space. Not only is Rebekah raucously hilarious and amazingly distracting but she uses the best products and is, without fail, the only person that will ever be granted access to my nether hairs with the sole intent of ripping them out while soothing me and, quite possibly, making me giggle. Yes. Giggle. DURING a Brazilian. Oh yeah. I said that.
She is fast, extremely thorough and well, she's gorgeous and witty and animated. Those last bits lend to the 'amazingly distracting' part...
Oh and the other bitching thing about Rebekah is that she was super helpful when I had questions about follow up care and how to prevent those tiny annoying speed bumps for fun...yes, ingrown hairs. She informed me that Salicylic Acid pads will help prevent said tiny red annoyances.
In short (which this review *wasn't* actually) I EFFING HEART THE EVER LOVING JEEBUS OUT OF REBEKAH. Seriously, she is kind of the best thing ever.

I really had a good time (is that weird to say when discussing getting hair ripped out of your body?).
The facility was super clean albeit hidden (I think she's moving spaces soon).
I only had my underarms waxed, but it took all of 5 minutes.

Easy, quick, and affordable. You really can't beat getting a wax by Rebekah. She's super friendly and outgoing and will make you feel very comfortable. The spa is located in the 10th Ave building, which makes it a little difficult to find at first since there's not a big sign screaming "Waxing Moon Spa" outside on the street. As a bonus, Cupcake Royale is just down the street and makes for a great post-wax treat!

God, getting waxed is never fun. It's right up there with going to the DMV. You don't want to do it, but you have to in order to keep doing what you're doing.
However, Rebekah is awesome! She is quick, thorough, cheap, hilarious and professional. I'm not really sure you could ask for much more. She didn't even chastise me for having a patch of too short hairs! Nice! (*Though I won't do it again, Rebekah.)
Once inside the spa you forget that it's right there on busy Union street. Great Location, Tons of Parking, totally accessible.
I plan to be back for sure. -

Rebekeh at Waxing Moon is hands down the best waxer I have ever had. I followed her here from another salon, and although I have since moved to Tacoma, I still drive up to Seattle for my waxes.
She is inexpensive, FAST, and great at what she does. Every other Brazilian I've had has taken at least twice as long, AND cost more money. And when she's done, there won't be a stray hair or irritated bump in sight.

Rebekah is amazing. She is honest, quick and knows her stuff! She really is a professional. She can look at your skin and determine what is going to give you the best results. She asks questions and lets you know upfront that you are free to let her know you need a break.
I have a high tolerance for pain, but waxing is not fun. However Rebekah had me laughing the whole time...she was really fun to talk to. It almost made me forget I was getting waxed!!!
Her facility is clean and cheery. She uses high quality products...and her happy hour deal? It's a STEAL.

This place was better than I could have imagined. Noone goes into a wax appointment expecting a pleasant experience, but I can honestly say that my short appointment with Rebekah was the least painful I think a wax could ever get. The salon is tiny but very clean which is what I was looking for. Rebekah was so fast, thorough, professional, and relaxing that before I knew it, she was finished and I was asking, "Is it done already?" in disbelief. Now I know that there is a skill to this and most estheticians don't possess it. (Too many previous bad experiences where I was all but ready to walk out half-finished). Rebekah is a master at her craft. I had a Brazilian in LA that was quite painful and awkward but I will definitely go to Rebekah in the future for all my waxing needs.

In about 10 or 12 minutes, Rebekah got me to Brazil for $40. Wednesday happy hour is unbeatable. Her technique is not only the fastest, but also the least painful I've experienced. I love Rebekah!!!!! I usually try not to laugh when I have just removed my pants in the presense of someone new, but I couldn't help it! Somehow, she manages to make you completely forget that you have just walked into her "office," removed everything from the waist down and are giving her money to rip hair out of your most private areas. She keeps you laughing and chatting the whole time as if she didn't just ask you to flip onto your stomach and "spread your cheeks." And the work she does is amazing. She is wonderful and I will continue going to her as long as I have hair that needs removing.

She gave me a lollipop to help distract me! How cute is that?! Rebekah was super quick and efficient. She calls herself a perfectionist, which is definitely a quality you want in your wax person. ;) And it's the most affordable place I've found in Seattle. $50 for a Brazilian. (20% off on your first visit) There's plenty of street parking around the neighborhood and it was not hard to get an appointment. The space is beautiful, very calming. I will definitely be going back.

Rebekah is quick, efficient, and has great prices. 4 brazilians at 160 is about the cost of 2 brazilians anywhere else in this town of outrageously priced spa services. WOW is all I can say. This place is awesome. I just got back from getting my first Brazilian wax and she did a fast and amazing job. Very painless and very thorough. I will definitely be going back and getting the package that she has available. Plus I will definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get a wax for the first time or if they can't find anyone who does a good job for a good price. So I said I would do this and I'm finally getting to it.
I have been getting brazilian waxes for a couple years now, when I can afford it. After going through a lull I decided to take a look on Yelp to try to find a waxer that got good reviews and was in Seattle. That's when I found Waxing Moon.
Okay, so I think it was a mix between searching on Yelp and Craigslist and when I saw the Happy Hour rates, I was game.
My first time at Waxing Moon I had an appointment with Rebekah and it went really well. She made it really easy to endure (I have very thick and coarse hairs that can be a pain, literally, to remove) and it was a super quick appointment. She also was easy to talk with about different parts of my life and we ended up having some things in common.
I left that appointment feeling really good and knowing I could go back and be really pleased with the results each time.
Unfortunately I came upon bad financial times and couldn't continue going for awhile.
Last month I decided it could fit into my budget again and I called to try to get in last minute on a Friday. Well, that didn't work out, which I kinda figured, but I got a call on Saturday morning about going in that day for an appointment. I was fine with that and made the appointment for that day.
I knew someone else had made the appointment over the phone, but the last I knew Rebekah was the only one at the shop. To my suprise I came in and saw a cute girl behind the counter who greeted me happily when I came in. Come to find out, she was the one that was doing my appointment for the day. I was a little surprised, but thought - what the heck :). Turns out Jordan has been working at Waxing Moon for a few weeks and has taken over the weekend appointments.
Jordan was great :). She took my hair off soo quickly I couldn't believe how little time had gone by. She also was very thorough, making sure all the hair came out and no strays were left behind. She even did a little extra area because she knew that I had thick hair that is difficult to get rid of.
She was also a lot of fun to talk with and made the appointment run so smoothly. I have since gone back for my monthly appointment for better upkeep and will be glad to keep that in my budget for as long as I can to help Jordan keep working and stay at the salon.
I hope that more clients who are a little apprehensive about going with someone other than Rebekah give Jordan a try. She's super nice and good at what she does.
I told her after my first appointment that I would write a glowing review of her so she could be on Yelp too - and I'm glad to do that :). -

I believe I have tried just about every waxing place in town. Rebekah has years of experience and it shows. She was easy to talk to, and it was actually one of my least painful waxes. This place was a little hard to find, but it is right above The Sweatbox. I like that she has a great website to book appointments and I'm excited about the 4 waxes for $160 deal.

Loved, loved, loved going here! I've been to a couple of places in Seattle and they were all way to expensive, took way too long, and left way too many hairs.
Thankfully a friend recommended that I go to Waxing Moon and I will not go anywhere else now! It was quick, relatively painless, the conversation was stimulating, and the price is reasonable (I had a Brazilian wax).
I will definitely be going back!
