Toronto, ON
Scarborough gem from the 1950's.
Hidden away inside a mall - Eglinton center.
This restaurant dates to the early 50's. Most customers have been coming here since that period.
The breakfast is wonderful. Light scrambled eggs with crisp never greasy real bacon. Farm fresh products. Old school kitsch environment. This is where families and grandparents come to hang out and enjoy relaxed music in a serene environment.
Big 1940's bucket tables with decor from the Truman era. Built to last. The servers have been here for decades. The pot pies are real Scottish treats. Coffee is average. Rye bread superb.
Brunch is the best time to come. Weekdays or Weekend.
