My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in February for a weekend of wine tasting.  The hotel was almost empty, and so was much of the town.  Not much to do here in February.  The pub across the street had 2 other people in it on Saturday night.  So, we got a pretty good deal at the hotel, but maybe we could have got a better one....

We paid $100 per night for a mountain/city view studio booking from the internet.  A couple months after reserving I saw a Groupon deal for a 2 bedroom lake view suite for $100.  I could have cancelled my reservation and bought the groupon but I didn't need 2 bedrooms for my wife and I (not very romantic).   But I wanted the lake view so I called them up and see if I could upgrade at no cost.    They didn't understand and told me to just buy the groupon and they would figure it out.  No, I just wanted a lake view.  I gave up and stayed with what I had.

The room was nice with a little kitchnette that even had a dishwasher.  I didn't use it but it was pretty nice.  We had a nice balcony looking over the main stoplight in town.  Bed was awesome and the room was big.

Only real problem was one goofup on the second night.  When we came back to the hotel the 2nd night, my card key didn't work to get in the parking garage.  I had to back out and go to the desk where they explained that I had only booked for one night.  No, I said I had the receipt from booking 2 nights in the car.  They assured me that I was wrong and had only booked 1 night.  No matter, they added the second night and gave me new card keys.

When we got to our room, the wireless wouldn't work. I went back to the desk and the lady said she figured out their mistake on missing the 2nd night.   No apology.  She also explained that their internet was working fine and I should just reboot.  I had already tried that and all 3 of our wireless devices were not working. She told me to reboot again.  I just left and 30 minutes later, everything started working.  They must have rebooted their wireless router.

So, nice place, great room and bed but they just didn't have the customer service that it would take to get 5 stars.

On our way back from Vancouver we decided to go via highway 3 and stop in this area to visit some of the wineries we here so much about.  We got a great rate on this hotel, and where pleasantly surprised on how nice it was. The room was very nice and with a kitchen we made the trip around the corner to get some food from the store to cook the first homemade dinner in a long time.  A very nice hotel located, and near a lot of good winery definitely worth the stay.

I did not stay here, but I did have dinner. Chef Natasha has a great feel for creativity. The Macaroni & Cheese with Roasted Peaches and Bacon was just wonderful. I still think about it!
