The community center pool by which all others will be measured.
I went to Watermania with the woman in my life, the fabulous Gina I., and two tough critics, my children 10-year old Natalie and 3-year old Veronica. This place has all the amenities that an active family could want. It starts with a family changing room with 7 large rooms to dry the children off in. One of the two novelty attractions is a wave pool with attached toddler wading and play area. When the horn sounds, Nat and V rush to the wave pool to ride the waves. The other novelty attraction is the pair of 3-story water slides. Add to this two hot tubs to soak our old bones, a 25 metre competition pool and diving boards.
It all adds up to a trail mix that satisfies any active family. Aww Dad, do we have to leave already?
By this time, you must be thinking that it is expensive but, we found a coupon in the Entertainment Book that let our family enjoy this for only $6.25 total! The silence on the car ride home was bliss; an hour and half of high energy play here put my two children to sleep in the back seat. -

I've been here may times. I thought it was a really cool swimming pool! There was a wave pool, a pool to play in, and a pool to do strokes! I also loved the waterslides and the divingboards! I didn't know why but I just felt so comfortable there and I loved doing strokes. I loved the wave pool the most becuase there was a very shallow place and a very deep place. Also becuase there was 15 minutes of wave and 15 minutes of regular water. It was just very unique ! It was an awesome place!

This is a fantastic pool to go to if you are in the mood for a water filled good time. They have a windowed steam room, sauna, wave pool, gym, ample locker room space....it's not as cluttered as you would expect.
It's also located right smack dab in the middle of all the fun things to do in Richmond. How convenient is that? Parking is ample and getting here is easy. -

Watermania is awesome for adults and kids! I love it when the waves go 'on'.. It makes a couple hours with the stepkids go by very quickly!
If you have the entertainment book, you can get 50% off of up to 4 people, so it's great! -

A city community centre technically, it stands out by being a bit fancier.
Watermania is just what it sounds like. It is mainly a pool with the main draw being the wave pool and two slides. The competition sized lanes and gym with newer equipment make it my preferred place to work out.
It's also a fun place to gather a few friends and just frolic about in the water. If you get totally bored you're only a few steps from the theatre.
