This was the very first place I tried sushi many years ago when I lived in Winnipeg.  Whenever I come back for a visit it is a must to go to Wasabi!  My favorite non traditional very westernized roll is the volcano roll; probably mostly because it was the very first roll my sister convinced me to try many years ago :)  The expense is a bit more than the typical place but overall it has been worth it!  They have a screened in patio, regular tables, as well as upstairs the ones you sit on the floor with your feet under the table.  Would recommend trying at least once if you're ever visiting Winnipeg.

I'd give this place 2.5 stars - the sushi was not very good but I liked the ambiance at the Osbourne location. I think the sushi at Wasabi on Broadway and and Wasabi Sabi are of much better quality. Here, the tuna nachos ($14 for 6 pieces) were drenched in mayo which masked the taste of the tuna and was missing some acid to balance the taste - a huge disappointment as this is a fav dish of mine. The sweet beet roll (veggie roll) should've been called the cream cheese roll as that's all you tasted instead of the star ingredient. The other rolls were decent and fresh but not great.

I'm not sure why this place charges extra for ginger and wasabi as other sushi restaurants offer it for free?

But I do like the casual loungy atmosphere here - it's way less snobby than the two sister restaurants. The servers here are effective but don't seem to be as well trained as the other places but they also offer less attitude so that's fine with me since I know what to order.

I went here sort of on a whim with a friend the other week due to extreme hunger, and I'm very glad we did.

It's only slightly more expensive than what I'm used to paying for sushi but it's not even a big deal because it is so yummy.  They also have a pretty large variety of rolls and a full bar!

One of my favourite things about this place though is the atmosphere.  You don't walk into many restaurants with an orange theme that can pull it off.

There isn't really much more to elaborate on.  If you like sushi, you'll like this place.

Expensive!

Especially the new one on Taylor, more of a cool place to have a drink and order one roll/ appetizer otherwise your bill will add up quickly!

Most of the rolls ranges $12 - $15 and a roll is 6 pieces.

They have this Sashimi called: wasabi samhimi for $50/ order, never ordered it but I wonder how many types of raw fish do you get.
