Review from Simon K.
One of the first Walmarts that the Lower Mainland received. I remember when it first opened, this place was a true zoo. It still is the busiest place for Lougheed Mall, as the parking lot going into this place is always full, and revolving. The one thing I give props to is that this store has stock more than the other Walmarts, as it seems like the hoarders are located somewhere else, or this one just carries more stock when a big sale is going on.
Sure this place has too entrances, one to the parking lot, and one toward the mall, so when a sale is going on, the product you may be looking for may be at the other entrance in a big pile. The one thing that really fascinates me, is looking at the ceiling here. If your at either end, just look at the layers and layers of halogen strips here, it seems to go on forever! -

Walmart I was joking about the grocery store thing. Oh god. Why Walmart why?
I really really hate this place. The last thing this place needed was MORE sections. Do you really think in this disaster kept store they are going to take care of produce?! Those 50 cent bananas are suspicious as fluffy bunnies they must have been robbed from some poor family. I mean at least people can buy real food here now but, it is well maintained? Probably not. Should you go to an ACTUAL grocers? YES! Safeway around the corner is usually open to 12 if it's an you need a banana go there. SERIOUSLY GO THERE. It's around the corner. I don't even like shopping at Safeway and I'm recommending it.
Now somebody is going to whine
"nehhhhhh but I can buy everything here in one place like my food, clothes, and lightbulbs."
Are you seriously THAT LAZY?! This place is in a MALL DARNIT. A MALL filled with many many stores with people that actually know their products. I dare you to ask a Walmart employee where something is let alone what it does. They have no clue. This store has too much stuff in it. Walmart isn't a department store, it's a disorganized black hole.
I admit I shop here begrudgingly because at 10 at night there is no where else open to get glue gun sticks , or art supplies but, I hate every second of this place. Also, this crap fest has put all the other stores out of business. You know the ones that actually CARE about their customers?! About quality? About organization?! Therefore most of the speciality stores are gone so if I need something I maybe forced to come into this ugly giant hole of DARKNESS filled with angry people, and screaming children. I come out feeling angry, and like I need to scream for a bit myself.
I hate you Walmart go put a paper bag over your store it's an ugly eye sore.1 Previous Review: Show all »

This Wal-Mart always seems dirty and disorganized. It also seems to be out of a lot of items or they just don't carry much. I have been here a number of times and it never seems to have what I need.
The good thing about Wal-mart is that a lot of their prices are less than others but one really has to do research as it may not be that much of a discount for what one is giving up. -

I'm one of those people who loves Wal-Mart. Everything is dirt cheap, and with the spiffy new "savings budget" I have drawn up I have little room for fun miscellanious purchases.
However, last night I needed a few random items. Very random. London Drugs was closed, but that's cool, there's a Walmart around the corner....
I needed makeup sponges. None were stocked. I wanted those shoe inserts for old ladies (like me) because some of my shoes are actually half a size too big (chubby feet), they were also out of stock. I needed some curlers (old lady as I said), nope none of the old lady spongey ones.
I did get my bobby pins (so cheap), some hair combs (so cheap), and some Tide to Go (oooh they make minis! How convenient).
Then I stood in line for 20 minutes while the cashier slowly rang all through leaving each price check for last and then everyone just stood there staring at eachother while said price was said checked. Grrrr...
Stupid of out stock slow Walmart. -

always interesting going to Walmart, not too often do you run into friendly and helpful staff in a late night stop
