As a new dog owner, I am keen to find dog friendly establishments so I don't have to leave our little guy alone on weekends. What a pleasant surprise to find Wag!
Wag carries a nice selection of high quality pet products and food, at competitive prices. They also serve great coffee and tea! In fact, for my taste, they have a better tea selection than Bridgehead. They have free WiFi too!
The staff were very friendly. They gave our little guy a treat upon arrival!
Free parking for Wag customers is available in the lot at the corner of Bank Street and Sunnyside (behind the chip wagon). -

Where better to take your dog to get spoiled and pampered than to the Glebe?
Wag has the neatest toys, inventions, clothes (groans!), and treats for dogs in the downtown area. Oh, and they also sell human snacks and drinks too.
The staff are very knowledgeable and wisely built their business in the Glebe and just around the corner from a very busy vet and close to the canal which is perfect for dog walking.
There are other pet stores in Ottawa but this place always amazes me with the stuff they have in it. -

I don't have a dog and I hate cats. So, Wag is not a concept I understand. But, people I know who do have dogs and cats SWEAR BY Wag. It is everything a pet owner could ever want - pet food, pet treats, pet toys, pet supplies. It offers seminars if you want to know more about your particular breed of pet. It is also a cafe - for humans, but a pet-friendly cafe so both you and your best friend are welcome. I even saw pet spa products, which just makes me wonder about dog and cat owners. They have lots of pet-related events on their calendar such as the pet Halloween costume party coming up this month! Parking is on the street, but you will probably walk your dog there, so don't worry about it.
