I went in here to get my gels nails taken off. I wasn't sure if nail salons did this, but I was hoping they did because every time I have had to do it myself, my nails come out looking so unhealthy and damaged.

I asked the woman at the counter if they can remove my nails for me, and after about 2 minutes of explaining what it means to remove nails, she said "yes. 20 dollars" I thought this was a little steep to take them off, considering that it costs $20 to fill them and I wasn't getting any new product on my nails.

Reluctantly , I agreed. The woman who took off my nails was very gentle and she constantly checked to make sure she wasn't hurting me. She did file down my nails and put cuticle oil on them, as well as a top coat, so they definitely looked better than anything I could have done, but she didn't file my nails straight. I ended up having to go home and reshape my nails.

Sadly, I will have to go back here again to get nails removed in the future because it is much more convenient and comfortable than taking them off myself.

I have had my nails done by Vo's at West Ed a few times and have loved the results. I decided to go closer to home and tried this location. It was terrible; I had to explain several times that I had snapped off a nail and needed it redone but just needed a fill otherwise and couldn't get her to understand I didn't want them taken off and redone.

We finally understood each other (or so I thought) and I'd said that I needed two nails to be slightly shorter (I wear contact lenses and need to be able to take them out without gouging my eye) and she proceeded to file them all down to just a bit past my fingertip. Which means they are not that much longer than my natural nails would be, just thicker.

I paid $50 for a fill on UV gels that are lifting, peeling and breaking less than a week later! I'd demand they fix it or redo them but I'm not sure how well they would understand that! :( I don't usually pay $50 for a fill but because of having to redo the one nail, I figured it was fine. But the other night I noticed what almost look like air bubbles under the nails (which is the indication they are lifting) and tonight I bumped the edge of my thumbnail and it cracked/fell off. :( I am NOT happy and while I am tempted to call and see if they will fix it, I don't want my nails ruined AND I can't afford to pay another $50! I got my nails done just before this in Calgary and they lasted a month before I had any issues. :(

I had issues with getting my nails taken off at Studio Nails prior to this (no soaking... just snapped them off) but by comparison, I'd go back to Studio in a heartbeat!

Well, I went here a few times to get my nails done but I will never go back.

When I fist started getting gel nails, I didn't know much about them except that they looked good.  Who doesn't wanna look good?!  So I started getting them done at Vo's.

I always noticed when I went out with friends though, that my nails glowed in black light and none of theirs did.  It was weird.

I met someone randomly one day that did nails for a living.  We became friends so I decided to get her to do my nails from now on.

I thought she was going to have a heart attack when she started to file my Vo's nails.  She told me that the stuff they were using was pretty much concrete for my nails.  This was not good.  Looking good or not, I didn't want that.

Angie did my nails and they looked amazing.  Even better than Vo's!  And they didn't glow in black light.  And they weren't crazy bad for me!  Thank goodness for good friends.

I wouldn't recommend Vo's to anyone.  They have a cute little shop, but you don't get what you pay for.  It's not worth it.
