In my opinion this is the best place to eat in the Glebe.
They serve lunch weekly and a great weekend brunch but I've never checked out their dinner.
I first had the seafood omelet there and thought it was perfect. We showed up just as they were opening and in fact probably a little earlier than that but the staff were kind enough to let us in from the cold! The restaurant on the main level is very nicely decorated and it's very charming.
In the summertime the service spills out onto the side street with cafe tables and chairs.
If you're there for lunch I'd recommend the California burger and choose one of their many wines. -

We just spent ten days in New England and the first place we dined at upon returning home was Von's, our regular neighborhood haunt. The service was great, the atmosphere relaxed, the food very good bistro style - always a "catch of the day" which needed to make no apologies to anything we found in Maine. My only suggestion for improvement is that The wine list is limited. We'll keep going back.

Service was hostile. The host refused to seat my wife and I at one of three free tables at 10 pm because we only wanted dessert and insisted that we sit at the bar. We decided to find somewhere more friendly.
