Recently I went on a glasses hunt with a good friend of mine. She was in the market for her very first pair (a special time in every ones life) and felt the need to shop around. I decided to accompany her and document the experience.
Vogue Optical was our first stop. This shop is decently sized and bright, with a variety of frames in all manners of shape and size. The staff were friendly and asked my friend a number of questions I did not understand because I do not wear glasses and wasn't really paying attention, but she seemed very assured.
Personally, I have strange and kind of annoying taste, so the frames in this shop did not really appeal to me, but that's not to say they were not a lot of nice frames, just none I'd want attached to my giant melon.
They do have a great selling point in which you buy one pair of frames and you get a second pair free (you know the jingle!), so we very well may be swinging back to this location in the near future to pick up some new glasses!
On a side note, I've already started calling my friend "four eyes" and I worry about how much longer our friendship has... -

For the most part, Vogue Optical Qunipool is just another glasses store - weird lighting, hundreds of dinky little metal and plastic frames for absurd amounts of money, and complete lack of assistance.
The floor staff themselves were somewhat helpful,if not incredibly distant, but the manager is rather unpleasant on the phone and difficult to deal with. I would recommend the Barrington location, if you must. -

I can see!
I only started wearing glasses approximately three years ago. It took no time for me to be surprised at how much glasses cost. But after shopping around, I really liked Vogue Optical for their deals, very friendly staff and their warranty.
The big selling feature, the one in their annoying theme song, is that their second pair of glasses are free. So if you buy one, you will get a second pair for free. They can be a different prescription, frame and could be for someone else entirely. It's a pretty good deal. The only downside is that you will have to pay for extras like non-reflective lens and all that jazz. Still a good deal though.
The downside to the store is they don't have the widest selection I would like for frames. Its still pretty good and every wall in the store has glasses on it. But it took a while to find the right ones for me. I suppose everyone goes through that but I expected a little easier search, not a treasure hunt.
About a year later I broke one of my glasses. Their warranty was simple: go to the store with the broken glasses, give it to them and wait for the replacement. I believe it only took a week to get the replacement glasses. But thanks to the buy one get one free policy, I had a spare pair of glasses that tied me over.
Vogue Optical is for the most part painless shopping for glasses. The staff are very friendly and definitely very helpful. I love going there because I always see smiles from the wonderful customer service people. If you need glasses, I'd definitely suggest checking out Vogue Optical and "see" if they are the best fit for you.
