You guys scared me with the gooey cheese thoughts -sounded like it would be piled with oozey processed cheeze but I was just being paranoid I guess. We got a medium pizza half cheese half pepperoni and I can't usually stand pepperoni, but I had a few pieces on my edges and wow it was really good pepperoni. Crust was perfect, sauce wasn't crazy, cheese was great, and the price was right.
We also got the lasagna -beef, sauce, noodles, and mozzarella. No ricotta that I could see and not a big block of baked cheese either. Pretty good proportions. Very nice service, terrible ambiance/atmosphere. I picked it up to avoid delivery charge.
We will get pizza from them again - happy to find pizza we actually like in North Burnaby!

I finished my session at the gym, checked my phone, noticed a friend left me a text message.  I return the text and he calls me right away.  He askes me what I'm doing for dinner and I said nothing.  I got to pick the place & type of food for dinner and I didn't know what was around the area.  I open up the yelp app on my phone...punch in "pizza" and Viva Sue was the closest location to where we were at.

Due to my poor sense of directions and not being familiar with the area, I arrive there half an hour later and we ordered right away.  The reviews on Yelp were as true as it can be.  This place is amazing!!  The crust was not too doughy and it had plenty of toppings.  It sort of tasted like a deep dish pizza but it wasn't a deep dish pizza.  The pizza wasn't super oily the crust a crispy but not chewy.  A can of pop was included with any medium size pizza that was ordered.  The place gets lots of people coming in getting take out.

I ordered a medium pizza and I had 4 slices and had to pack the rest of it home.  Yummy, and I would definitely go again.

I was introduced to the Viva Sue pizza by a co-worker when at lunch time, she was chowing down a slice where the layer of cheese and toppings was thicker than the crust. I remember the room smelling so good that I literally could not stand another bite of my measly lunch.

Viva Sue is real comfort food pizza where the full-fat cheese and toppings are piled high. In fact, there is so much cheese that you can barely see the toppings entrenched within the cheese layer... Omg, it's making my mouth water now!!!! Yes it's greasy, but that's part of its appeal. They're not trying to be creative in their pizza; they just make a darn good pizza with your generic kind of toppings. I've always ordered the Super Sue for its nice array of meat and vegetable toppings.

This is a friendly Mom-and-Pop shop and it shows that the owners care about their customers. And I feel good supporting this kind of business. When I crave a good basic pizza, I think Viva Sue.

This place is awesome.  I love the nice owners.  The prices are reasonable and the topping are a-plenty!  If you pick up your order you get a free can of pop with each pizza.

I wish they had more veg options, though the one veg pizza they have is quite good.  Just not as amazing as Bella's Gourmet Veg, but for the price, I'll take it!

I have some leftovers waiting for lunch, and I really want to eat them now!  But it's only 10 am.

This pizza is soooooo good but soooo bad for you! The crust is thick, so you have to like thick crust. The toppings are very hearty. They also always put a lot of cheese on there.  You really need a beer to wash this down. But the flavour is great. We've been going there for the last 18 years or so. Or at least for the last 7 years. It's delicious!

However, they just recently increased their prices, no doubt due to the recession. It used to be that you could buy one get one free all the time. But now it's not. I think they still have that if you pay cash, you get a free pop.

Viva Sue is a really great little pizza place. The sign says that you'll "love my pizza" and I have to agree. It's simple, no frills, quality stuff. I go here sometimes on my lunch break, and if there isn't a veggie pizza ready for sale by the slice, they'll make one on the spot and it never takes more than 12 or 15 minutes.

The first time I went here, I was 'intrigued' by their choice of decor. It's bare, drab, and brown. However the friendly chefs behind the front counter made me feel more like I was in a comfy rec room. Then I saw the price - $3 for a slice. I decided to chance it (since you can't see the slices behind the counter) and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my $3 slice that covered an entire dinner plate. Add $1 for a can of soft drink, and that's a nice $4 lunch. Plus, they always have  a couple Province newspapers there for customers to read

The pizza itself is delicious. They don't spare the cheese, or crust (or toppings for that matter), the sauce is  tasty, and the toppings are fresh. They may have upped their prices recently, but I have to say a free pop with pizza is more than most non-crap places will give you, even before the recession. Perhaps I will take advantage of this deal when I am next inclined to buy a whole pie.

Extremely friendly owners and amazing pizza! Been a regular since I first starting going in highschool a few blocks away. Fresh ingredients and authentic style pizza. A bit greesy but amazing flavour!
