What an interesting first visit!  I called to reserve a table for three adults and a child, and waitress sounded so stressed, but she was very friendly and said there was room right away.  We took it and when we got there we saw a whole bus load (yes, greyhound size tour bus) leaving.  We knew right away why they sounded so frazzled.  Anyway, they sat us down and it did take a very long time to get things started.  But they were tiding up of the group that had just left.  During this time a gentleman walked up to speak to what appeared to be the manager and we could clearly hear he was upset with the service.  The manager apologized, but did not seem to console him or offer any form of compensation.  We were a little confused and I thought about leaving, but soon after that a waitress appeared and took out drink orders.  She was sweet but you could see it had been a trying night.  Well, it did take a long time for the starters to come,  but it was worth the wait.  I would give the spinach and artichoke dip a 4 out of 5, the caesar salad was 5/5 and the small kids cheese pizza got rave reviews from my son.  Pop refills are not free.  We ordered our meals, Rack of Lamb, Steak Sandwich and Pasta.  These also took awhile, but when the arrived it was amazing.   Within 3 minutes of the food arriving, my son, whose pizza arrived with the starters tried to lie down on the bench seat and bump the electric plug for the small table lamp, well there was a loud pop and huge flash and possibly a little scream.  The 2 wire lead had broken off from plug and gave my son a small shock and turned his big toe black.  Needless to say this caused a little commotion from the staff and they check to see if he was alright.  During this time the manager was called, but he really did not do or say anything and I found that a little disappointing.  The waitresses on the other hand were exceptional.  They moved us to another table, got us seated and gave us a wipe to check my son's toe.
Things settled down and we started to enjoy what was one of the best meals I have had in a long time.  The lamb was tender, flavorful and juicy.  Oh, there was a slight mix up on the steak sandwich order, but the food they gave us was good so we did not ask them to redo it.   The desserts were very good to.  A 5inch chocolate cake and a chocolate mousse were shared by all.

The only reason this review did not get a 5 star rating was due to the excessively long wait time and poor management skills.  All in all in was a very interesting night and I will be back!  Just a side note - there was no compensation for us either.

Ick.  Not good at all.  Where should I start.  My family and I, who are vacationing in the area, decide to come here.  The waitress takes our order and my sister and I both ask for root beers.  She brings us the drinks and they taste like Vanilla Cokes that have pool chemicals poured into them (I'm not saying they really did put chemicals in, just a description).  I told the waitress and she was apologetic (it wan't her fault, I think the drink machine was screwed up) and she brought us some Pepsis.  They tasted ok, unlike the previous weird drink, but still just a little off.  I can't quite explain it.  They then take our orders, and the give my mom her caesar salad.  It was hot and yucky, as though it had been left out for hours, and inedible.  The pizza that I shared with my sister was bad; its quality doesn't compare to any of the frozen brands I've ever had.  Even my dad, who's universally positive about food at restaurants, could only say, "Ah, it's ok." when asked if he liked his meal.  My mom has told me that Vittorio's was the worst restaurant she's been to in her life, and I agree.  It was pretty bad and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
