I'll leave discussion about pricing out as I'm fortunate to be able to get discounts through work (they are very competitive though and would probably match Best Buy or FS prices if given the option)
They are interested in making sure that you're a happy customer, but they are salesmen and will try to upsell you.
Protip: Pick the staff member that seems the most confident, I got a bit unlucky last time I went in getting a more junior staff member that had to keep asking a manager to unlock computer machines
They also mount TVs for a flat $150 rate. It seems expensive but it is guaranteed and cheaper than Best Buy. Their extended service plans are 'refundable' in that if you don't use them for a TV they can be used for store credit when their lifetime runs out. -

Worst nightmare realized today! A simple custom installation for my car that I got the royal run around on, for nearly 12 months, after going up and down the management ladder at 3 different locations has turned into disaster as the custom subwoofer enclosure wasn't made using the correct specifications and over the last 2 months this error slowly caused my speaker to tear.
10 months of BS and a supreme waste of time, if the installation was decent I wouldn't be writing this review but with a blown speaker and among the worst customer service one could dream of here's my story:
Once upon a time, my troubles began almost 1 year ago when I had a custom installation quoted at the Marine Drive location. They don't have an install bay capable of the work so they sent me to their Burnaby location. I had the head installer there quote it again and it was more expensive but I didn't fuss, it made sense and he knew what he was talking about. Unfortunately, he went away on leave, came back, couldn't book me in, went away again, came back, and with higher management involved and the Port Coquitlam location as a back up they still dropped the ball and didn't book my installation. This brought me all the way to Port Coquitlam getting a 3rd quote and this time it was higher but WAY HIGHER and not acceptable. Back to the management, more run around and then installer at the Burnaby location came back and management was ready to book me in for the agreed quote... buuut I got informed they were out of resin to set the fiberglass and instead of one of them picking some up at a supply shop they dropped the ball AGAIN. And this installer went on leave AGAIN, before I could book with him. Finally, after another long drawn out wait the regional installation manager said he'd have the installer at Port Coquitlam do the installation for the agreed quote and so I booked it.
I knew it sounded bad since day 1 because I've had this set up in several vehicles and it never sounded worse than it did after Visions completed their install. I don't play my music very loud these days so I didn't say anything because after this insane run-around I was just happy to be finished dealing with Visions. What I didn't expect was the custom box to be so far out of spec that it'd tear my speaker open. A speaker capable of 600 RMS/1200 peak and I've never even cranked it up so it blew running at the most 30% of it's capability and even then I don't turn it that loud that often. -

I went back today and got my money back.
I've called to see if they got the Playbook delivered and was told they didn't get the shipment yet. Seeing how they get shipments every Thursday I wasn't sure that I wanted to wait and I went to The Source website just to see if The Source would have one - they did!
I went to Vision's store that I bought it from and their salesman (same one that I bought the Playbook on B/O) started telling me how they had it in stock and how they tried reaching me to tell me; basically BS. At that point he even offered $10 discount. I didn't take it out of principle, although I could've returned the other Playbook to The Source.
All of it did leave a bitter taste in my mouth. The fact that he tried to tell me how they called me up just ruined the whole experience even more.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Away from the business of Metrotown, and if your looking to have a variety of tv's, I must say to come to this place to look first, as they definately have selection. Usually when one thinks electronics, usually you would go to the big names (Bestbuy, Futureshop). I will say that the one thing these people do good is tv's! As the store here is just, wall to wall, LCD to LED sets everywhere. The staff is pretty knowledgeable in regards to this technology too. They will give you the comparisons to another tv, probably because they have that model in the store as well.
It's too bad they cannot compete in other electronic areas like computers, video games, cameras, and other things not related to the tv, but it's definately worth a look around if your in the market shopping for the next big screen for your room.
