I believe my discovery of Driftwood Brewery is due in part to the well laid out and stocked coolers at Vintage Spirits. Their amber ale is fantastic!
I didn't expect to see Rogue, Lost Coast Brewery and other micros brews in a bottle shop adjacent to a hotel. There were lots of spirits (almost bought the Victoria Gin), local wines, including a boxed wine from Penticton's Monster Vineyards (which looked fantastic - by way of the label at least) and knowledgeable staff.
And with the Rogue being a couple bucks less than it would cost in a private liquor store in Vancouver, this is definite pocket book winner too. (plus it's open on the stat holiday!)
