Vineyards Estate Wines has terrific wine seminars on the weekend! We attended their "Wine and Dessert Cheese" session and enjoyed it so much as the hosts were incredibly knowledgeable. We tried wines and cheeses that we never would have thought to combine on our own and we were encouraged to find combinations that were pleasing to our own palates. We're already making plans to attend another seminar - and taking friends!

Normally, I just hit up a $10 bottle at the LCBO at Runnymede, but my dad loves ice wine and I decided to check this place out to buy a "fancy" wine.
Their selection is distinctly local, especially their ice wines. They offer tastings (for a small price) and the staff are genuinely knowledgable.
In the end I bought two bottles: one for my dad that I know he'll just love, and one.....uh.......for my secret santa. Yeah....
