Lunched here today wiith my mother and sister and we all agreed...A+!
Very healthy portions (which isn't always a good thing) but in this case it was a lovely combination of quality AND quantity. The black bean soup was delicious and the sandwich special a great deal. Service was great by both girls who were clearly tag teaming the room and the room itself very astetically pleasing. I won't be back soon but that's only because I live in Vancouver. I will however recommend this lovely Cafe to everyone that will listen. -

This is one of my favourite spots to go for a weekend lunch...if I have the cash to spare. The Village Cafe isn't too pricey, but it's approximately what you pay for a heavy supper in an average restaurant, except here it's delicious lunch items. Their sandwich selection is huge and their salad creations are inventive and healthy. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to get a spot to sit here, especially during the weekend brunch rush. But if you go during slightly odd hours, you should be able to get a spot. However, keep in mind that they're closed from 3-5pm Monday - Saturday, and they close after 2pm on Sunday.
