Just bought a brand new bike from Village Bikes yesterday after a friend recommended the place to me. I have been searching for a new bike for the past couple of years and some other stores I had hit up in Vancouver had either really pushy staff (who tried to get me to buy bikes that I had no interest in) or staff that didn't help me at all until I asked. The guys at Village Bikes were very knowledgeable, helpful and totally laid back! I ended up loving a bike they recommended (which was also cheaper than other places I had looked at!) and they happily installed some lights I had brought with me for free! Needless to say, I am a very satisfied customer and bike owner!

Great locally owned business located at Steveston village. Really friendly and accommodating service. A one stop shop for all your biking needs from rentals to accessories to maintenance. Great place to rent a bike to hit up the Dyke trails of Richmond.
I can see this place potentially get really busy in the summer time, so best bet is to call ahead to reserve a bike if you're planning to rent. -

This business is NOT great because I purchased a used bike for my daughter and it does not meet her current needs exactly and they are refusing any kind of return. I paid the price they asked but before I did I asked what a similar bike sells for new and he said over $200 which made $120 sound like a deal. Turns out the bike I bought is only $135 new. My bad for relying on a small shop to be honest. They refused to deal in any way to take this bike back claiming they just can't do that. I will not take any more business there as I am so disappointed in the honesty and integrity of the shop. I dealt with Brett so I recommend steering clear of the place if you're looking for an honest business
