We visited the first time for drinks. The space is gorgeous and looked like a great place for swish cocktails. The list is long and the bartenders (especially Dennis) make a concerted effort to produce something to your liking. Describe your preferred taste profile (sweet, sour, etc.) and your alcohol of choice. Wait for them to whip something pretty and powerful.

Once there we learned that they also served food, so we returned on another occasion with the express purpose of trying the nosh. It was a very pleasant surprise. We tried the seared ahi tuna with soy/sesame vinaigrette ($12). Yes, this dish is ubiquitous, but their version was exceptionally well done. The vinaigrette was perfect, and the pea shoot and vegetable accompaniment was light and fresh. The sun-dried tomato flat bread with three dips ($11) falls into the same category - not original, but well executed. The only dish that wasn't remarkable was the California maki ($6), but I was alone in my assessment in that my dining companion enjoyed it quite a bit.

The staff are attentive to detail, which means that they get orders right the first time.
