Review from SHANNON A.
This is my favourite restaurant in Winnipeg. It's a slightly more upscale hole in the wall with authentic, delicious meals. My favourite is the Panang curry but I've been known to get their Pad Thai too. Both are amazing and you can get your spice level between 1 and a 100. At first I thought the owner was joking when he told me but apparently I'm a wimp at a spice level of 7. Thankfully the water is free.

I've been here before and had a great dinner but came back recently for lunch and was really disappointed. I had the Tom Kao Piak (Noodle Soup) as I really liked their Tom Yum soup here. Anyhow, I was really disappointed with the heavily salted soup. It actually tasted similar to really bad instant noodle soup. There was no balance of flavours that is expected in south Asian cuisine, instead it was just salty. The noodles resembled udon noodles (which is Japanese) and tasted mushy. I had ordered a small soup but I didn't realize until after I left that I was charged for the large bowl price. The small bowl is $5.99 and the large is $8.99. Service was okay but a little standoffish.
I will try them again but I will definitely stay away from Tom Koa Piak soup. -

Decided to give this one a try as it was along the way of our route. We found the papaya salad OK, just a little to vinegary and not quite what we were expecting. After that the main coarse we OK the service was very good, and the price was fine. Over all it is a good restaurant but nothing to make it stand out so it is likely to remain a place we would drop into if it was convenient.
