Food espically the sandwiches was not very good , they used hard to chew bread , and the keep the schnitzel and sauseges in a recycling bin.
Serivce it's not the best , but it could be improved.
store is very clean , the ambiance of the store was not very comfortable ,it feels very serious like a concentration camp ,I've noticed they watch people and they make obvious on purpose that they 're watching you (have you ever heard of camiras in the store).
I 'll never ever go back againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 25, 2022
BEST Euro Deli award goes to...Vienna Fine Foods!
This long-standing family-run European Delicatessen is like a small taste of Europe in Toronto! It's almost 70 years old and one of the oldest European delis in the city. A breath of fresh air, sweetened with nostalgia, that transports you to a Euro style deli in the heart of Scarborough.
Their main attraction is their high quality deli food, magnificent imported cheeses, charcuterie deli meats, freshly baked buns, baguettes, rye bread, European specialty food items (jars of pickles, preserves, spreads, soup mixes, dumplings, imported chocolates and candies, and magazines to name a few). Hungry patrons frequent their phenomenal hot food counter, specializing in home style authentic German, Polish, and Austrian foods.
Hot takeaway lunch menu at "Little Imbiss" includes Schnitzel (fried breaded pork cutlet), home fries, knackwurst (sausages), sauerkraut, Hungarian goulash, daily soups (creamy mushroom is a personal fave).
Walking inside you're instantly transported to an idyllic place, a home away from home. No wonder their hot food lunch counter is nicknamed "Little Imbiss" - Imbiss is a German word for a snack place often a small family-run food stand or street food shop.
They have a deli meats counter where you can buy cold cuts, salads, meats, sausages, charcuterie, cured meats, European and Canadian cheeses. A bakery section where you'll find freshly baked baguettes, buns, and rye bread, pumpernickel bread. As well as imported European chocolates, marmalades, pickles, crackers, potato dumplings mixes. But really, this place wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for their loyal customers, excellent owners-managers and their friendly staff.
Family-owned for almost 30 years; the co-owner's father was an excellent trained chef who worked at an exclusive Toronto country club known as the Granite Club and wanted to give people a taste of Europe. For the past 30 years his family has honoured his lifetime dream of bringing people a taste of Europe in Canada by providing top tier service and quality food to the community.
I once witnessed the staff really take the time to go out of their way to assist an elderly man who needed help with finding his groceries. She patiently walked around the store speaking to him in German and helped the gentleman with a smile on her face. The kindness that I've witnessed here is also what makes it so memorable. This wonderful deli will always have a special place on my heart!Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jun 11, 2022
I start buying their salads. Prices are good and tastes are fine. I also get frozen lasagna and chicken stroganoff and they are tasty. It is good for a single household or a couple. It is very convenient for everyday meal.

Pretty nice little European store. Didn't have a huge selection but had a good selection of various meats, cheeses and sweets. A little bit of everything and pretty good quality. It is a bit pricey but again this is more of a specialty store.

Hidden gem it is! Wow. It's my first time around this area and the nice lady in line recommended me the Schnitzel sandwich (which everyone comes here for) with coleslaw and potato salad and it was definitely a hit!
YUM! Hands down the best Schnitzel I've ever had. The sandwich was so tasty and the potato salad was exquisite. I almost considered ordering seconds (lol) Price was cheap too!
I decided to order some more for dinner. Will update later with reviews for goulache stew and dumplings and sauerkraut.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wendy H.Toronto, ON111136291Apr 28, 2019

Hole in the wall that you would never land on unless you work in the area. They have a nice choice of cheese, sausage, and European goodies (i.e. chocolate, cracker, snacks, jams, etc). The best part of this place is not the groceries, it is their hot food /takeaway. Great place for lunch, especially their schnitzel sandwich, coleslaw and awesome sauerkraut. From a cost perspective, totally affordable with great value.
I don't like to use 5 stars but for what it is worth, awesome.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Toxic R.Toronto, ON0757Sep 16, 2020
Stopped in for take out lunch today and to be honest I may have well burned a 20 dollar bill as it was horrible and unedible.I got the Salsbury steak dinner with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meat was so very dry and overdone with no flavor whatsoever.I could not eat it so my dog got a treat.Vegetables bland potatoes bland nothing had flavour.Got potatoe pancakes that were overdone and some spots un dible . Borderline burnt. Not the first time I have had terrible food but will be the last. How they can dish out food like this is beyond me.O have been there about 6 times it's always same. I wont be back.

Wow... hidden gem here. I've lived in Scarborough/North York my whole life and not known about this place. A friend brought me and man am I happy.
Schnitzel sandwich is light and crisp and seasoned perfectly; the bread is fresh.
I had the Spaetzle as well - delicious.
All for a fair price.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pauline Q.Toronto, ON242Apr 14, 2018
Best schnitzel in town! They drop it into the oil when you order. Always hot and crispy.
The staff are very friendly. Everything served at the back is tasty.
The deli has hot dogs that have the 'snap'. We love their bacon.
The Berliners (filled doughnut) are always a favourite. I prefer raspberry over plum. They're often sold out on Saturdays if you don't get there early.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
