This is a great park in the wintertime for public skating. It's located in the beautiful river valley.
There is a large parking lot available for the public. The ice seems to be well maintained as there is a speed skating group that practices out of here.
The oval is 1/4 mile, and there's quite a bit of room for skaters of all ages and skill levels.
When you arrive, there's a nice heated 'trailer' to leave your boots along with any other winter gear you'd like to hang. There's no lockers, so do leave valuables in your car.
In a separate facility by the rink there appear to be public washrooms available. I didn't investigate further, but by the looks of it, they would be open.
There's also a bit of music playing out by the rink, I'm thinking it's a local radio station. Spent so much time talking that I didn't pay that much attention to it.
Perfect place to squeeze in a 'workout', time with family and friends or a date. It was a beautiful day today and it was a bit quieter than I expected. Maybe it's just one of the city's many hidden gems. -

Not much you can say this is a great place to chill in the summer.
