Review from Just Y.
I am a sucker for those little taxi boats, and I go out of my way to take them either as taxis or for mini-tours any time I am visiting somewhere and the sun is out. Five bucks for a taxi ride is a tourist bargain; great photo ops, cool and breezy break from walking, and let's face it - they are cute. Having enjoyed the serene and picturesque lift, we decided to try out one of the "Marine Adventures" (read: mini-tour). A smidgen pricey for the Gorge Waterway Tour, but 5 minutes into it we were sorry it was only going to be 55 minutes. I failed to get the old guy's name, but he was a great speaker, and as a lifelong native he added color and depth to the event that would be hard to match; I hope he continues on there for a long time to come as I'll be looking for him next time we're there. A little secret is that the boats can only hold 12 people; you're never packed in so you always get a great view in a comfortable setting. Completely worth it!

The Harbour Ferries do a ballet thing every Sunday on the Inner Harbour. I've never been during all my years living here, but tonight I attended their annual Xmas ballet. It's pretty awesome if you're a kid, but my interest quickly faded. It starts when five Santas come to get in their fantastically lit ferries and they part the dock to the harbour. Once the music starts it gets pretty monotonous. The five year old in me wants to give the effort five stars, but the adult in me sees too much potential wasted in loops around the ole Christmas tree.

We took this your anticipating it would give us a good feel for the city. While it was nice to be out on the water, and we saw a few pretty sights, the tour in not particularly interesting or informative. In retrospect, we wish we would have spent our time doing something else.
