It's exactly as the name describes: a Chinese BBQ joint and bakery. It's a tiny, hole-in-the wall place that was a welcome source of 'home' when I was living in Victoria and missing the quantity and quality of Chinese food that's available on the mainland.
They are a take-out place, but do have a tiny table inside, and a tiny table on the sidewalk outside. Food wise, I will have to say that they aren't as good as what you will find in Richmond. But what can you expect? They're at least better than what you will find in Victoria. Prices are also higher, but then again, everything is higher (pun intended) on the island. My favourites were the pineapple buns and custard buns. Off the BBQ menu, their char siew is good, but what I really really liked was their beef brisket (fyi, Chinese beef brisket is like a stew). It was soft and not too fatty, and didn't get stuck in my teeth (a sign of a good beef brisket, imo).
So, when you're visiting Victoria's Chinatown (all 1/2 blocks of it...), and are craving some Chinese BBQ or baked goods, keep this place in mind. It's just around the corner from the gates.
