Review from Anlina S.
Winnipeg, MB
I came here for dinner for the first time in more than 10 years. We used to come here for bubble tea back when bubble tea was new and novel.
The food was great and I don't think they've updated their menu prices in the 10 years since I was last there. We had shrimp & pork salad rolls for an appetizer, Vietnamese Deluxe Vermicelli, pho and tea. After tax and tip the bill came out to about $25. I think $6 was the average price of entree items.
The salad rolls were good but not amazing, though I can't quite put my finger on what would have made them better.
I really enjoyed the vermicelli. The serving was huge and came with two spring rolls, two kinds of grilled meat cucumber, carrot & sprouts and some other stuff. Very tasty, just what I was craving, and enough for two or three meals for me.
I only tasted the broth of the pho and I haven't had this dish before, so I can't really compare, but it was quite tasty.
Service was pretty good at first, but after our food was served our server kind of disappeared. We waited quite a while before finally flagging someone down to get a take out box.
The atmosphere is nothing special, but for the price I was pretty happy with what we got.
Note: They'll be closed for 5 weeks around Chinese New Year, so if you're planning to go call ahead to make sure they're open.
