What a disappointing burger! I have seen Vera's Burger Shack all over Vancouver so I figured it must be pretty good. As I was heading to my gate at YVR, I figured why not grab a quick burger before my flight? Well, I ordered the 6 ounce vera burger, the classic choice topped with ketchup, mustard, relish, lettuce, tomato and Vera's Sauce. I ordered the burger plus a water and it came to $9.32 after tax. Wow, was I disappointed with the burger patty! It tasted soooo processed, I thought I was eating at McDonalds. There was no real flavour or juice to the patty! I know I am a bit spoiled with the fabulous family run burger joints in Winnipeg but Vera's wouldn' t survive in Winnipeg. The toppings tasted fresh and the Vera's sauce is okay, but nothing memorable. The bun was also a bit dry and disappointing. Too bad!
