They have delicious gluten-free snacks, non-dairy options for your drinks, nice staff, comfortable environment, clean bathrooms, live music Sundays... Its a pretty awesome place.
Oh and it's an awesome place to people watch. We like to drink to our almond milk lattes while sitting on their little patio outside. -

I love the feel of this place. I didn't get food, but it was relaxing to sit on the sofa, flip through the books they had around, and sip tea.

As a dude, I'm not the stereotypical high tea-er. I am not, however, too much of a dude to realize that this was a really amazing place to have high tea.
Sure, it's high tea, so it'll be a little more expensive than just your run of the mill tea and scone morning, but it is less than half of the Empress, and the service was FANTASTIC.
The three of us received our choice of tea (I had a peppermint that with one whiff cleared my sinuses for the rest of my trip), sandwiches, scones, tarts, and a little chocolate ball finisher. (I have no idea what that's called, but must have a name, other than chocolate ball; it was intense though.)
It also turns out we were the first high tea for Venus Sophia! If the great service and wonderful food and drink was just their first run, it'd only get better from here. Definitely coming back. High tea = high awesomeness. -

A hidden gem! We probably would've never stumbled upon this place, but after finding it online I knew it was "a must" during our stay in Victoria! What a cute atmosphere! Absolutely adorable! The staff were also genuinely friendly and pleasant. My husband and I had the Samurai Veggie Kebab and Tofu Chicken Paninis and they were both soooo delicious! One of my favs in Victoria for sure!

The owner was sarcastic with a smile, but the place is cute. They had plenty tea and baked goods. I would of gotten tea, but they only carry loose teas. And with that I need to purchase an apparatus and special tea pot. So I just went with a Date Square. It was like an overgrown Fig Newton. Naturally, it was too sweet.

My last visit to Victoria, I had the pleasure of visiting this charming little teashop a few times. My most pleasant visit was with a friend who had actually travelled to London and was able to make comparisons about the quaint little High Tea atmosphere for me.
After a camping trip outside of Port Alberni, making fires and walking through the woods in moccasins, I was a little worn out and just kind of wanted to be introduced to civilization again. This place makes me die of cute. It is almost overwhelmingly girly, I think my pal was slightly intimidated. My favourite touches were the ridiculously large collection of adorable tea cups, and the bikes with baskets full of flowers mounted on the walls. I let my friend choose tea, I believe it was Monk's Blend. I ordered a vegan brownie, which was pretty okay. He went traditional and ordered a scone. The tea service is also painstakingly cute. We were served with a gorgeous tea pot and delightfully mismatching cup, and everything else was sooooooo mini. Little cutlery, liiiiittle bowls of creme and jam, litttle pitchers of almond milk. It is the most adorable thing to watch a grown man spread jam on a giant scone, with a little tiny knife. The only thing was that we kept having to refill on almond milk and jam, but the employees were good natured and were well aware of this assumingly common issue.
Next time I am in Victoria, I will make this a destination. Just gorgeous.Listed in: tea (and coffee) list

According to my wife who loves afternoon tea in Victoria, wonderful selection of teas, environment quite nice, not traditional tea room, but a little modern, little pricey.
