I've been to the shop a couple of times and I have to recommend it for anyone who likes to entertain their alter ego, (the one they keep in the closet, yeah, that one).
Costume corsets, long gloves, the coolest steam punk goggles, awesome hats, S&M party gear....
Next time you're nearby in Gastown it's just a skip up the block to VM. and free your playful spirit!Listed in: Costumes and fringe fashion.

Only one other review? wow, this store rocks! Wander in there at least a couple times a year to keep up on my fun party attire, best place to get corsets and sexy leggings, among other things. Dont assume its just for kinky stuff tho, and don't be intimidated. They have tons of other things too! And great shoes and boots. Also beautiful mens clothing, costume and otherwise.Unfortunately it loses a star for staff and service. My friend was asking about the sale on a sweet pair of high heels and wondering why they were so cheap(marked down from 139.00 to 25.00) The girl working said it was the last pair and just a great sale so my friend eeeeked!! tried them on and bought them as quick as she could. She inspected them but apparently not close enough as we found out later they were on sale because one of the straps on the back was coming off and the elastic holding the buckle was stretched almost to the point of breaking right off.Looked like somebody had basically tried them on and fallen in them stretching the back. Not a big deal at all since the price was still great and my friend got them fixed for 10 bux at a shoe smith but still, she would have bought them either way so the staff could have been more honest. Nonetheless its still a great fun store and Ill be back for sure, ill just carefully inspect any sale items that interest me.

Meet the Business Owner: Sanné Lambert M.
Sanné Lambert, owner and head designer of Venus&Mars, is a Kwantlen University College Alumni and has been designing and producing clothing in Vancouver since 1987. She has operated studios in Yaletown and Gastown and worked on the design team of Marquis of London, one of the largest leather garment manufacturers in Canada. Sanné founded Vancouver's Goth Nirvana Venus&Mars in 1992.
