I always have fun here despite the large crowds on the weekend. A lot of more trendy stores are now inside Vaughan Mills. I love both here and Yorkdale the most for brand name shopping.

Food court here is massive and there is a Ben and Jerry's along with Starbucks! How can you go wrong lol.

The parking lot is also massive just people drive like animals on the weekends ugh. Still a must stop if you love mall hopping in the T-Dot. Also for travelers outside of Toronto you MUST stop off here for epic shopping!!

Vaughan Mills shopping mall is my go-to mall when I want to kill time, and don't want to attack the craziness that is the Yorkdale Mall parking lot.

The Bass Pro sports shop is somewhat of a tourist attraction as it is quite impressive.

The mall itself is massive, and there are quite a few outlets here.  The food court is quite large, and I love the vintage American cars they've used as decor for their various booth seats.

For those of you who have the patience, there is a Holt Renfrew outlet here, though it is slim pickings and its usually the XS or XL sizes left.

This is a place I'd come if I had some serious time to kill.  It seems to attract families on weekends as that is the crowd I see the most of.

It's the most convenient mall for me, now with Carter's Osh Kosh, and Children's Place, and their end of season sales it just works best for me.

It's supposed to be an outlet mall, but some of these stores aren't very "outlet like". Some very much are and prices are drastically reduced. Others are the same as any other mall.

It's a big figure 8 with a food court in the middle. This place can get nuts on the weekend, especially on long weekends. No way will I go there on a holiday again. I try to go during the week if there's something I need or early morning on the weekend if I must.

Overall a decent selection of types of stores from sporting goods and sports wear to shoes and fashion to books. Plus it's a good hike just to do a lap around.

WIth the exception of Lucky strike bowling, the people in this mall bug me. When I say people I mean the ones who work there, who seem to be dumbfounded by kids being wheeled around in massive wheelchairs with breathing tubes,, etc comming from them. Like yes at a glance you might wonder oh poor kid, or omg what happend but serously look, give your pity ( as if we need it) then move on!. Do not stare!, its not taken as sympathy its taken as your wondering why were there because were not toting around fancy coach bags but instead backpacks and medical gear . Or that you know that unless staff shop nothing is going to be bought.  I find the malls in scarbough less judgemental? then this one and if it wasent for the fact that 1) I can't choose where im working with the kids somedays and 2) the bowling alley is really decent with our students, I would not go here. Maybe this is just me tonight tired overley protective of my students, and so numb to what we proably look like to the ones who are lucky to breath on their own but hey its no biggie.

On the plus side because its so big its easy for wheel chairs to get around, and the kids LOVE the bass pro shop, so as long as they get something out of it, I'll give it a thumbs up for those reasons, the people jus dont thrill me.

Preparing to drive out to Vaughan Mills today, I was nervous. Would I be overwhelmed? Would I be stuck in some kind of endless loop because of its oval-shaped layout? Would I ever find my car again?

I had no need to worry, because it was just like...a regular mall, but newer and bigger. I really liked that everything was on one level, and the oval layout made it easy not to get lost. There were even maps you could grab to bring with you at each of the freestanding information signs.

I wouldn't call it an outlet mall in the sense that you are going to get amazing deals, but each of the stores seemed like a really amped-up version of its normal self, so each store seemed to have an even better selection than normal.

All in all, it was a really good spot to get some Christmas shopping done. Just watch out for all of the strollers! They were everywhere, though in fairness I was there on a Tuesday morning.

A really nice shopping center! Great stores range from H&M, Nike, Reebok, Footlocker, Tommy Hilfiger etc and they carry Canada's national clothing store ROOTS! It's a generous size outlet and a lot of great stores. Things here in Canada are more expensive because tax rates are higher. My next trip to Canada, I'll definitely stop by.

Vaughan Mills is pretty fancy inside with huge aisles, large leather benches and carpetted walkways. Most of the stores are outlet shops so the prices are amazing. I think it's a good spot for the basics, like suits, dress pants, blazers, plain shirts. The Banana Republic and French Connnection seem to have the plainer-looking clothes, so it's not the best if you're looking for something especially trendy or special. There is also a reallly big Holt Renfrew Last Call for designer goods.

Even though I loved the stores here, I hated the layout. We got lost like five times! They definitely need more maps! The food court could be improved, but it's fairly big. There are artsy picnic tables and mini litttle tables for children. Oh and speaking of children, there are so many in this mall. Maybe it's the low prices, or maybe it's a Vaughan thing, but lots of parents. I recommend going early to avoid.

Vaughan Mills was a mall to be reckoned with, atleast that's how the developers made it seem when talks of contruction began.

Many Vaughan residents were expecting a sort of  Eaton Center-isque type mall with perhaps a huge playground/rides section for kids as Woodbine mall has the fantasy fair. But instead we got a mini replica of the GREAT LAKES CROSSING in Michigan. How original!

First of all there is only one level..so no escalators, which is GREAT for parents with tots in strollers and for people in wheel chairs.
Secondly, its a sort of OUTLET mall...full of outlet versions of stores, just like Great Lakes Crossing, except the prices aren't outletty enough and everything is STILL overpriced.

If you think the outlet prices here are great, wait til you cross the border.
You haven't shopped until everything is %40 off plus an additional %20.....everything.

So for having a little bit of USA above the border it isn't too bad. They are open relatively later than most malls, and on holidays.
Just be ready to WALK...it will be a long one from one end to the next since the mall is in the shape of an oval and you have to go all the way around, unless of course you turn back in the direction you came from...no shortcuts available to non-employees.

This mall's literally a carousel. It's a big circle, like running laps in a relay race in high school. There's sections of the mall they recall as neighbourhoods. And each neighbourhood has a different feel...hard to explain but it feels like you're transitioning from City, Rural, Nature, Fashion, Lakes etc the further you walk deeper into the rabbits hole. It's original, don't get me wrong, but the last thing I need is to get lost in a neighbourhood I don't know too well, and have to walk ALL THE WAY AROUND to get to my destination.

Because the mall's located dead in between residential areas, there's catholic, public and private school kids always loitering at the mall. So expect to get hit on (if you're a girl) and get cut-eyes if you're a stud. Since Vaughan is a growing area, there's gonna be a lot of parents with children. So, it's an asset for you know how to dodge and maneuver away from red firetrucks, driven by kids-who-think-they-know-how-to-drive.

All in all, I've seen better, but if you're around in there area and you're willing to do a brisk stroll, Vaughan has its arms wide open for you. Cheers

    Love Outlets/Discounts?
    Love Walking?
    Love Shopping?

This is the mall for you!
Very huge discount mall with ATON of brand name stores from Hugo Boss, Holt Renfrew LASTCALL, Lacosse, Town Shoes and MUCH MUCH MORE!

The only disadvantages are that it's so big it's hard to ever get to where you want to go! Its a giant circle and you have to pretty much do the entire mall before you can get back to where you started.

***It's hard to find any washroom!***
And im pretty sure they have 3 in the entire mall?!

first off, this is not really an outlet mall. Everything here is still pretty expensive. BUT it is a nice mall. Really spacious and the floors are hardwood and shiny. I did happen to pick up a few things at a couple stores but still, not that cheap. It is a decent sized mall, no complaints

I finally made my way out here and it was a bit of a let down. I can see how this would be a pretty good tourist destination, but I would never go here if I were looking to get something specific. It is too crowded and most of the discount stores really aren't well organized.

For every discount store there are 2 overpriced stores - such as the pet "boutique" that sells my pet shampoo for $14.99 (when I usually buy it for $6.99).

The mall's redeeming factors are: having some unique restaurants and stands (Johnny Rockets, Spudniks, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory), stores you couldn't find elsewhere (Bass Pro, Deserre's Art Store, Build-A-Bear).

I am generally not a mall person. I don't like the Eaton Centre and dread going shopping with tons of pushy people. But Vaughan Mills is a great mall.

The deals were great. I thought the mall would be too big to imagine but it didn't seem so big, we went all the way around and got to check out every store we were planning to. We noticed all the fun stuff to do for guys while the ladies shop, but to be honest, there are good stores for guys to check out too.

The food court was huge, I thought we wouldn't get a seat but it was not a problem finding one.

The mall is spacious enough that it didn't seem so busy at all. We were there on a Sunday from 10:30 until 4 p.m. and it didn't get noticeably busy at any time. The only time that it was a bit dicey was getting out of the parking lot but we expected a lot of cars trying to get out.

It was a great experience. I thought that Yorkdale was a great mall but Vaughan Mills is a bit better. If only it was closer.

    Some tips to shop there:
    - go on a Sunday during a regular week
    - go early (before open) so you can get a kick ass parking spot.
    - on a Sunday, the mall opens at 11 but Bass Pro Shop is open at 10 so you can get there at 10:30, get a great parking spot, grab a coffee, and check out the fun stuff at Bass Pro Shop (they even have a shooting game you can try)

    Brief Intro:

Vaughan Mills is a Fashion Outlet with Dining and Entertainment.  It's a tourist attraction much like Eaton's Centre therefore popular during those Statutory Holidays.  It is near identical to Arundel Mills of Hanover, MD nearby Baltimore in terms of design but not Shops and Restaurants.

This is my LOCAL mall and my personal mall of choice.  Top ranks for the "The Guys Survival Guide to Malls" as you will notice that it's fun for the whole family which includes YOU(The Guys) if you ever found interest in reading a Mall review.  Bowling & Drinks at Lucky Strikes? Go-kart at Nascar SpeedPark? Bass Pro Outdoor World? Pro Hockey Life? Safari Pet Center?

    Seating Comfort Level:(*****)

If by chance you're not at one of the places above or the CENTRALLY located Roadside Picnic themed Food Court(Entry 5), then grab a seat along the corridor where every "Neighbourhood" has it's unique seating feature some comfortable while others whimsical.  Take a Massage Sofa nearby the Food Court which if you desire can pay some coin to get it operational.  The BEST option however is nearby the Nascar Speed Park (Entry 4) where you will notice the Lounge Seats that direct you to the 360 degree LCDs tuned to the local Sports Channels.

    Safety Zone:(*****)

Roadside Picnic Food Court is your safest BET not only because it is right in the middle of all the action but it is where all people will congregate.  It is surrounded by everything food & beverage, such as Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, Rocky Mountain Chocolate, Villa Madina, Taco Bell, Sukiyaki, Grill It Up, NY Fries, New Wok New Wok, etc...

You're SAFE anywhere man! It's an Outlet Mall and the ratio of guys stuff to girls stuff is evenly matched.  If anything, the ladies have to watch out for their men spending too much time and money here while the ladies wait on the side.

    Exit Strategy:(*****)

What Exit Strategy?  Why do you want to leave this place if you ever had to be dragged to a mall, this is THE mall to be dragged to against your will.  Still, the place to stage your exit is once again the Food Court where you can mingle with the patrons while grabbing a bit to eat and then decide if you want to leave on the North(Entry 2), South(Entry 5) or walk about the big LOOP that is this mall.  Most larger shops have a 2 sided entrance/exit which doubles your chances of escape.

    Entertainment Level:(****-)

Go-Kart, Bowling, Fishing/Camp Shopping, Sports on Display, News on LCD at Food Court, Tons of structural design elements at every Neighbourhood.  You won't even miss your Iphone3 or 4 or whatever they have out now.  If that doesn't get you, just watch some KIDS jump and climb on one of the many statues/structures at your nearby exit.

Vaughan Mills mall does strike one as having been built with a Plan B in mind. If the mall thing fails, it could be quickly turned into a warehouse, a factory producing light industrial goods, a movie sound stage, or maybe even an airplane hanger where Bombardier could build its next generation turboprops. It's always good to have a Plan B. I got mine. Oh wait, my current job is my Plan B. Never mind.

Vaughan Mills is basically a big long box you kind of have to just walk around with no apparent ability to cross over save for the food court.

The mall proprietors try to soften the warehouse/airplane hanger feel by unconvincingly dividing the big long box into different "neighborhoods", each with its own theme. There's a fashion neighborhood, a nature zone, a fish under the sea-o-rama, etc. It basically amounts to a change in colors, different bench styles, and some faux fireplaces. It all reminds me of my childhood where we'd turn our garage into a haunted house and subdivide the garage with ropes and blankets, forming little "zones of terror". It's a solution that works for 10 year olds but when you're designing your city's signature mall, you might not want to start with the premise that a  long metal box is inherently exciting, warm, and welcoming.

There are some interesting enough stores here, many of the "outlet" variety, like a Benetton Outlet. It's also one of those rare large sized malls not anchored by a Bay or Sears. This is a mall purely for the NASCAR dad demographic.

There's no Manchu Wok but there is a Timothy's, a Second Cup, and a Starbucks. The major joe chains represent and that could keep peace in some families. It would in mine. If I had one. A family.

When I go to Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre, I really there to shop or hunting for bargains.

I found it is a nice place to have a walk and window shop. The stores are a little different than the other suburbs mall. I usually drop by on a weekday when there is no crowds and easy to find a parking!

The store I love most at Vaughan Mills is the Lululemon store there.. because they have a separate on sale area at the back which is the size of some of their normal store! All the items are divided by sizes so it is easy to find something that might fit you and is on sale! :)

I like the idea that people can bring their little dogs inside to mall. BTW, most of them are hand carried/in a bag/in a stroller. They all well behaved and never even make a fussy like those human kids :)

This one follows the same idea as the Mills company's outfits in the states - lots of discount stuff with a Bass-Pro hunting fishing Disneyland as one of the anchors (BTW, the people in this Bass-Pro were very rude, especially if you try to go out the wrong way).

I have been to two in the States, one near my former hometown of Chicago and one in Milipetas (I call it Millipede), California near Santa Clara.  This one is a bit smaller (it has only one food court - Gurney Mills in Chicago has two), but is generally similar.  Decor is intentionally tacky - a sort of self-mocking campy style.  Not everything is cheap either - you could drop a big bundle at the Holt-Renfrew "outlet!"

A pleasant enough place to spend a few hours, and large enough that you are almost sure to come away with something in hand.

So for any So. Cal. Yelpers out there thinking about visiting Toronto, this place is similar to Ontario Mills where it's a mix between regular retail stores and outlet stores.  One great thing about this place is its circular structure so you can never get lost if you accidentally turn into the wrong corner.  But rather, you go around and around.  As far as the stores, there's plenty of non-US stores to choose from - Roots, Blue Notes, Garage and West 49 to name a few.  There's also a small stand that sells Canadian-famed maple syrup, maple-flavored treats, and ice wine-flavored sweets.  Unfortunately, there's no Tim Horton inside.  In any case, I find it a good place whether it's to pass some time or buy souvenirs to bring back States-side.

I was pleasantly surprised when i had arrived at this mall.  Stores included several designer stores and designer outlets among your typical stores.  For outdoor enthusiasts, one of the larger stores is an outdoors/hunting/fishing department store.  Kids enjoy watching the live wild fish swimming in the simulated river and waterfall.  The 2 large bears near the entrance also get much attention from young children.  I certainly feel this mall is more of a higher end type as a result of some of the stores located within the mall.

Parking is ample.  Strollers can be rented for 5$ (single), 8$ (double) and are located in every entrance to the main mall.  The mall has many washrooms available in convenient locations and also have family washrooms for families with young children.  The food court has a variety of foods which included some familiar fast food restaurants such as A&W, Subway, New York Fries, and KFC/Taco Bell among other independently run fast food restaurants.

Bargains and good deals can be had but you'll have to most certainly look for them.

I remember when Vaughan Mills first opened a few years ago, there was a minor to-do about it. It was the first new mall in the GTA in years, and has a lot of stores that were previously not located in Canada, let alone Toronto. Some of those stores are useful (like the Nike Outlet Store--see my review for details), but unless you live nearby, or are looking for something specific, it may not be worth the trip.

Also, Vaughan Mills (the mall itself) is pretty tacky, and there hasn't been much effort made to turn it into a pleasant shopping experience. Look up as you stroll past the shops, and see the corrugated metal ceiling, just like at Wal-Mart! Or take one of the "shortcuts" between zones, which are really just ugly utility corridors. They remind me of the scene near the beginning of Terminator 2 (the last real Terminator), when the two Terminators are battling in the bowels of the Galleria mall....

Yesterday we were searching for a barbershop. The only one open was the one here with 22 dollar cuts. Ouch.

Let me tell you though.. This place is WAY too busy. I was ready to have a heart attack the second we couldn't find a parking spot after searching for no less than a half hour. We eventually parked illegally on some painted curb under a light. Along with about 5 other people.

The mall was way too over crowded. Everyone and their dog, and their baby with an oversized stroller, was there. Not to mention the serious case of dead walking that was going on. I'm glad no one was foaming at the mouth or biting, I would have hated to bust out the machine gun and go on a zombie killing spree.

The only store I managed to single out was the Adidas outlet store. Almost everything was on "sale", or by "sale", I mean.. Normal price at winners. I couldn't help but buy something anyways.

At the cashier, I asked the bimbo if they sold frisbees. She started giggling and then it turned to cackling with her college. "Like, um, like maybe like you could go to like like like the like like dollar store.. like."

You stupid C U Next Thursday.... Ultimate Frisbee is a REAL sport.

I'm a guy, which means that by nature I'm not made for shopping. Whenever I can, I try to avoid it. But, if there's no way to avoid it, my favorite shopping mall would be Vaughan Mills. Not only because of the variety of stores, some of it being the factory outlets (check Nike outlet store for shoes and sports clothing at more than reasonable price), but also because of its size. The mall is so huge that, even on the busiest of days, you can still walk around without bumping shoulders with others. Oh, and it's open on most holidays.
