Varsity is basically a convenience store in HUB that can come in very handy. I actually see it as a miniature version of shoppers drugmart.
They carry snacks, drinks and candies which are all great when studying. Especially the energy drinks. They also carry school supplies. Anyone that attends the University knows how often you need to get a pen or paper, even a notebook and it can be annoying not having these things readily available but don't worry because Varsity has got you covered. Aside from the basic student needs they also offer magazines, backpacks, bus passes, shampoo, cards and I am sure I'm missing a bunch of other things.
It's probably one of the best stores at the University. -

This is one handy convenience store. I actually picked up a spare backpack here when mine randomly tore to pieces. Yeah, it's a convenience store that sells bags for some reason.
They also sell calling cards, which is also amazing. They came in handy when my sister and I had to call my parents when they were out of the country. -

This convenience store at HUB mall has saved me a number of times. Whether it's a garlic breath emergency or a monthly emergency (I'm talking to the ladies here) you're having, this place has you covered. They have gum, stationary, notebooks, backpacks, makeup, birthday cards, soap, shampoo, and anything else you might need, if you're on campus. They also sell monthly bus passes here, which is convenient since the bus terminal is right outside the mall. Varsity Health is open weekdays and weekends, so you don't have to worry about trekking it out to Safeway or somewhere else farther.

I've never lived on campus, and I've never even attended the University, but Varsity Health and Beauty has been good to me. I used to come to HUB mall to study many years ago, and Varsity was there for me, when I needed a pencil sharpener or white out. I've also come here a few times after getting off the LRT with a huge headache. Varsity came through for me once again with Extra Strength Tylenol. They usually seem to be open pretty late too, which is very convenient, because there isn't much else around without a bit of a walk or taking a bus. It is a little pricey here, but I think the convenience of this place makes up for that.
