I was once one of those people who was afraid to go to a chiropractor, the jarring cracking motions that I associated all chiropractors with kept me away. Until, I realized that chiropractic could be looked at from a different point as I learned about the Cox table that Dean Greenwood uses. The cox table is a distraction table where basically you are strapped in by your feet while you lie on your stomach and it continually "stretches" you while Dean manipulates gently. I personally have a back disorder where this technique has enabled me to get the nutrition to my discs and spine with the distraction and now my back has managed to feel and stay in alignment much better than I have ever experienced. If you suffer from any pain or discomfort, I would look into a treatment just to make sure that your spine is in alignment because I know from experience that any problem with your spine is likely to radiate out to other areas. Side note: they also have an x-ray machine and orthotics.
